Default Poll: Hughes vs St. Pierre

I don't see this fight happening in November, but that's the rumour. So whenever it happens, who wins?

I'll pick Matt Hughes but WOW this would be a great fight! It would not surprise me if GSP won.

I was originally thinking GSP would take him, but after he opened his mouth I think Hughes is going to want to hurt him.

I think the fight with Penn showed some chinks in Hughes' armor, and GSP is just good enough to work them.

i would agree with you if these were two normal fighters... but gsp and matt hughes are both above and beyond the average fighter. i love both these guys a lot. I will not be betting on either of them. I know Matt is smart enough to watch his tape with BJ and fix a lot of his "chinks". But GSP is well rounded enough to test out every possibility of picking matt apart. But then we cant forget the crazy amount of punishment MAtt can take and not gas. Hopefully we have a crazy fight. GSP and MH both beat BJ Penn. BJ was fighting better against matt hughes and matt finished him as GSP was unable to. All i know is the harded someone brings it to matt the more i like him. He can always up his game and has brute strength! i am hoping for gsp at this point but i am just going to sit back and enjoy!

GSP is a different style of fighter than Penn.He won't pose the problems to Hughes that Penn did.

Matt by relentless takedowns and dominating ground control.

In my opinion it's just too close to call. Hughes may have won in round 1 last time, but GSP was winning most of that round. He was controlling the pace. He just ****ed up. And he's had to go through so much to get back there. I give GSP the slight edge, but this one's a coin flip.

I am exactly the same expect it will be all my not so many points on GSP. Even though the avatar tells you different, I am a bigger fan of GSP now then Hughes and I am looking at it the immateur way as I see GSP could win it as he beat Penn better then Hughes did, as Penn was in good condition throughout the fight of Penn vs. GSP whereas he wasnt for Hughes, and GSP came back from losing the first round badly with a broken nose and a thumb in the eye with great takedowns, something Hughes wasn't too familiar with on saturday night.

Also it was 1 second left of Round 1, One more second for GSP to hold on!!!! and we could very well be seeing a different champ right now.

Beat me to it, GSP doesn't have that takedown defense or the offensive guard of baby fat. The Country boy will survive!!

Too close to call, I'm wimping out.

That is how I voted. Can country breakfast win out over sausages and french toast smothered in Montreal's best maple syrup?

Only time will tell.

Penn exposed Matt Hughes. If he can't take you down , he's SOL. GSP has very good stand up. He will beat Hughes very badly in this next fight. Hughes was lucky to get by Penn. .. IMO WarDawg

I'll put all my points on Hughes when this fight comes around.

Just like I did with my boy Rashad.
