Its not necessarily having a big ego, he is just proud of his accomplishments. Sorta like Body-builders who go to the gym with shorts&muscle shirt.
Sure, they don't have too, and could just go in with a normal shirt&sweatpants. But they're proud of their hardwork paying off and want to show-off what they have done, and not "hide it" by wearing normal gym clothes.
Another example is someone who was very overweight but worked hard and lost alot of weight. Even though their "fat-clothes" are still good for wearing around, that person will probabley want to buy SMALLER clothes, tuck his shirt in, etc. To better display his fine progress on the fatloss. |

Sylvia always wears his belt.
I gurantee you if you went to a Wal-Mart in Iowa you would see big Timmy wearing his belt while shopping for an ab roller.
I gurantee you if you saw him at a gas station he would be pumping gas with his belt on.

I just think wearing your belt around is a WWF sort of thing to do " Can you smell what Sylvia is cooking" no but I'm pretty sure it's some thing fattning. Jeff Monson vs Sylvia: Sylvia taunts monson by insulting his mom, Monson back hands Sylvia a couple of times, Sylvia wins by knockin monson out with the belt.

Tim is just Tim. There is no other way to put it. I think Ryduce said it best. Sylvia is a great fighter and a big son of a gun. Thats about it. But you have to admit though, when fighters bring their belts to an event (I know it hardly ever happens) they normally just hold the belt over their shoulder or something like that. They dont ever really put it on around their waist.

Sylvia isn't the only cat that does it. If you watch the behind the scenes feature for UFC47(Tito vs Chuck) BJ is in Chuck's dressing room for his pre fight segment, and he is wearin the WW belt around his waist. |

If I was UFC champion I will be wearing that belt also, just like Tito when he was LHW champion.
It took HARD work to get that belt and showing it off in public especially in a UFC event isn't arrogant or cocky.
