hmmm tough one. they are both awsome fighters and have given a lot back to mma. i might be a little bias since i am relativley new to the mma scene and shamrock is not in the spotlight as much anymore but my vote is for couture. shamrock has accomplished a lot as a fighter but i just really like coutures style and attitude towards the sport and towards other fighters, but like i said i am a newby in the mma world.

it's a toss up for me.. kenny n his prime, he was pretty bad@ss.. randy too, so i don't know, both guys xtremely tough..

I'm completely Bias here but Ken is a more well rounded fighter so I would say he is the better MIXED martial arts fighter.

Randy is good at standup but isn't as good as Ken IMO + Ken uses that really weird style of standup what is it Pit Fighting or something like that ? LoL I Love that

There both awesome though !!

if your asking who would win in a fight, there is no question in my mind that Randy would win. He is the more complete fighter and has faced and defeated more difficult competition in his day. Ken was a good fighter back when the UFC was style vs style fighting. Now that all competition cross trains, Ken can't hang. Look at his fight with Tito and Rich Franklin. He was completely dominated. He was a pioneer for the sport and will forever be a legend in most peoples minds, but he is not even close to the best fighter that has ever graced the octagon. However you can make that argument for Randy Couture.

I would say Randy.. neither of these guys are as young as they once were but for their age.. Randy.. hands down... he just keeps getting better..

Yeah, but they're the either the same age or only a year or two apart. I think in the early days of MMA, it'd be Ken. However, I think Randy has evolved better, as MMA developed, than Ken has.
