I feel sorry for those of you who paid for UFC
That's gotta be the most boring UFC ppv I've ever watched.
The only redeeming factor was watching UFC posterboy Rich Franklin get KTFO with ease in one round by PRIDE reject Anderson Silva.
Funny that the UFC's main event and now Champion Anderson Silva was a bum in PRIDE and now beat UFC's top dog.
Cheik Kongo the great heavyweight hope for UFC got dominated by some boring no namer. So much for that 6 fight contract he just got!
other than that it was a boring event. I feel bad for anyone who paid for this garbage. You shouldve saved your money for PRIDE

Was a really crappy fight by franklin. Deffinately not worth paying for. I think what annoyed me the most was that Silva couldn't even speak english. So much for that...

what Anderson was not a Pride Bum. he has a decent career in Pride. he lost some match's where he didnt look very good on the ground but he's far from a bum. i thought the Card was great. i picked Anderson to win and i was very proud of Ken-Flo i really wanted him to win but it wasnt his night. card was really good for me. the only thing i was dissapointed in was Kongo's fight he looked terrible. his takedown defense was awful.

I think I got my moneys worth...Only dissapointment was Kongo.
I wish they would have shown the Okami fight instead of the Clay/James fight. I never even heard of those 2 before tonight.
And one other thing that could have made it better was if Silva spoke some damn english! lol
Great card though, I really enjoyed it.

Wow this has all the makings of a classic thread. First post bashing the UFC event. Some nerd saying people who don't speak english are annoying. And dissing the former and current champ all at once. Can this one get any more idiotic?

Honestly I think you should be able to speak the language of the country that you plan to fight in. God forbid. I would expect the same out of any fighter of the UFC or any other american organization fighter that went overseas to fight.

HOPEFULLY! LOL Not saying its annoying, id just rather see him do the talking instead of a translator if you know what I mean...
Hes still my favorite fighter regardless....even before he came to UFC, I watched a couple of his older fights and loved his style....

I liked the ppv, thats bs that ur callign it the worst ppv ever. UFC 61 was way worse.... n this one had probably the best title fight we've seen in a wile, Sherk vs Florian. Im not happy Franklin lost, but I think he had some ring rust, and he did not seem comfortable in teh octagon. If he gets some fights, earns his shot, then we can have a better title fight rematch.
I agree tho, not happy with the Kongo match. That guy he lost to was a boring fighter, not to much interesting about him. His next fight will be an undercard i bet...but im not surprised, Kongo's ground game is lacking and when he faced a wrestler, I thought he wud struggle with takedown defense.
Good job Fisher
Didn't like Goudia that much.
Congrats Sherk n Silva
Get better soon Rich
John Fitch, hope to see u climb the ranks for a title shot shortly.

+1. I was hoping Kongo would show himself to be another (bigger) Silva. That fight was disappointing but, who knows, maybe he'll see his weakness and start working on his ground game.

Cheick Kongo was a horrible dissapointment. I cant believe people actually thought this guy could be the next Champ. he has ZERO take down defense and no ground game. He didnt do much standing up and gassed out early. He got dominating by an out of shape no name one dimensional wrestler.
UFC HW division is somewhat pathetic, no offense.

I'm actually hoping you lock or delete all the BS threads like this.
And, I am not one to ask for that usually.

You took that out of context. I did not mean it as people not being able to speak english as being annoying, but people coming to an American organization and fighting but not even able to speak a word of english on there own is weak. Oh well. To each there own. Dissing Rich for putting up a crappy fight, and dissing the current because he can't speak english... Yep you got that right.

So someone from a country that can't have the oportunity to learn english because of poverty shouldn't have a chance to come to the land of the free? Get over yourself.
people who come to america eventually learn english

no offense but if you guys seriously think this was a good PPV you need to watch PRIDE Fighting.
PRIDE puts UFC to shame.
