It's just really hard to gauge how good Silva actually is because his two opponents fought stupid.Leben thought he could eat a billion shots and land one huge one,and Franklin tried to clinch with a guy whose strength is Muay Thai.
Silva does have a BB under Minotauro, but they were childhood friends,so who knows if he actually has BB level abilities. He did get choked out by Takase which is pretty embarrasing. But I gurantee that no matter how good Silva is on the ground or how much he has improved in that area, there are guys in the UFC right now who are better, and will exploit him at one point.

I agree that there is always someone better, but I don't think that someone is in the UFC right now. Maybe, and thats a big maybe, Rich could beat him, if he comes back strong with a little more homework on his opponent and a different game plan. Other than hthat I doubt the UFC has anyone right now who would have a good chance at winning over Silva.

So what you're saying is, Silva's belt is safe?
I agree, that Lindland could beat Silva, but I have a sneaking suspicion we won't see him in the UFC.

You are probably right. And I doubt very much that the UFC is in any hurry to find someone who can take Silva out. The only people who don't like Silva are Franklin supporters who say that Franklin "had something on his mind" or some other excuse and ignorant people who don't like him because he doesn't speak english.

According to mmaweekly, Wanderlei is scheduled to be fighting on the December card. Who knows, maybe they will match him up with Anderson assuming Anderson gets through Cote in October without injuring himself. Wanderlei Silva vs. Anderson Silva would be amazing.

Mark my words, guys like Marquardt and Terrell(if he ever gets his crap together)will run clinics on him.

LOL at Pitbulls reaction to Kravs post.
Man, this is one of the first threads I ever posted in. It was cool to read thru it. Was this really one thread or did a bunch of A.Silva topics get lump together?

Based on some of the moderator postings, it seems like several were lumped together over time.
