Is it Hard or Easy to move around Weight Divisions?
I don't fight, so just wanted to know is it easy to go up and down weights.
I feel that if the UFC bumped up Bonnar, Petruzelli and Hoger, then it might make the HW a more stacked division, with kongo being a disappointment, this division could die unless they get some more fighters, and at a long long shot bump Rich Franklin up I could see him dominating his friend Sylvia.

They could've signed Heath.
But we still got Christison and Eilers to look out for!!!
Sarcasm.

PS- Tito Ortiz is 5x the fighter that Big Nog and Frank Mir are... if they ever fought Tito would dig a grave and KTFO out of both of them with only his left hand.

Well I think if your natural weight is close to the weight you're moving up/down to, then it shouldn't be too hard. Some fighters' natural weight is a lot more, or less, than the class they fight in, but yet they still make weight. I think some fighters wouldn't have much difficulty moving up or down.
But I dunno how hard it is. Maybe some fighters/trainers out there would know.

the weight variance in HW is from 206lbs to 265lbs.. however most guys who fall into the lower end of that range opt to fight at below 205lbs. its just not easy for a guy weighing 220lbs. to take on a guy like Tim Sylvia or Andre Arlovski, two guys at the upper end of the range. Brandon Vera is just about the only guy who does'nt cut weight and chooses to fight with the big guys in HW. we will see how far he gets. in theory the UFC could make the HW division tighter by lower the max weight to around 230 and then make a super heavy division but that would take away from the LHW division. there is no easy answer but i don't think pushing the 205lb guys into HW is the answer. i did read an article about how Dana wants Fedor and CroCop in the UFC, and that he is working on a plan to get them. easier said than done of course.
