I Want an Old Timers UFC Card
In the vein of sparing MMA fans of these ridiculous matchups like Ken vs. Tito I, II, and III. And no disrespect Toyce, vs. Hughes, Tank vs.etc.etc.etc...I want everyone and the UFC to consider having
An Old Timers UFC card.
Make it sorta a repeat of UFC 1-6. ONly with real fighters from that era. I dont want the McDojo owners. I want the Severns, the Shamrocks, the Kimo and Tanks, Ruas, maybe even Polar Bear.
Have it all out on one big event. Get Polar Bear Varleans and matchup Howard Harold vs. Royce (like they were supposed to) once and for all!
Put Marco Ruas and Pedro Rizzo up in there. Bring all the old guys back for one final UFC shabang! I wouldnt even mind seeing a Bas vs. Tank on the card.
I'd pay to see it. I think it'd be more interesting than matching up these guys with the modern day MMA guys. At least it wouldnt be such a mismatch and waste of money to watch as they've been so far.
What do you think? And what would you all want to see on a UFC Old Timers Event?????

yea ive thought about that for awhile.... just one would be amazing... bas vs randy.. pedro vs thank again... tons of matchups would be great!

It sounds great, get that old-school UFC back.
But i dont think the reality would live up to that. Alot of these guys are probably really out of shape.... so oldtimers out of shape beating eachother dosent sound that great to me.
I rather put on one of the old UFC dvd:s and cheer for my old favourites.

The Ifl is having alot of fights with seasoned vets, Renzo vs Miletich. Didn't Mark Kerr fight too.
I remember some other fights that are supposed to happen.I'm not sure on all of them but it is kinda cool. Someone also mentioned Rizzo on another thread about him turning up in the IFL
I agree. It would be a great card.
Rizzo is also rumoured to be fighting Heath Herring at the WFA in December.
