Eilers doesn't belong in this thread. Eilers vs. Cabbage was great. Eastman definitely doesn't belong in this thread. Eastman vs. Rampage and Eastman vs. Stiebling were good fights. Wes Sims has to be the worst fighter from a prestigious team. Since Sims's wrestling sucks, apparently Coleman and Randleman have only taught him how to take a beating.

I dont like people who bag on fighters, or any kind of pro athlete. Unless you can do better then them, i dont think you should say nothing.

Man, this is the type of post I love! Possitive outlooks on the whole aspect of proffessional sports. 95% of the pro athletes out there have worked HOURS and HOURS to get where they are. These fighters that get their ass kicked, guarenteed dont think they suck, they are PRO fighters.
Dont think that just because a fighter looses, it proves who they are as a person or how much heart they have. I dont think there are many pro fighters out there that I would like to meet on the street.
Just speaking from what little experience I have had in the recent months of MMA training, I can guarentee you that it takes a tremendous amount of work, heart, motivation and dedication to be the least successful. Some days I wake up and think to myself "can i really do this, do I have what it takes to get in shape, train or even fight in a cage".
Again MMA fans, keep an open mind to this sport and the people in it. They are what make up what we love to watch, read and write about.

Okay I had to ressurrect this thread after Monday nights episode of TUF2. I will hearby declare that Mike Whitehead is the worst MMA fighter I've ever seen. A total joke and a bunch of misplaced hype by everyone involved in TUF. This guy was a slug and if I was Matt Hughes I would've been even more pissed off. He's defiantely not Militich material.

It's true. Being a professional fighter ain't easy. Anybody who has trained even one time knows that. Because of this, I try to avoid saying that fighters "suck". Some of them, really aren't up to the rest of the game but still, give them their due. There are fighters that just aren't exciting to watch though, and that presents issues in a spectator sport. I hate cocky fighters that can't back it up, personally... but hell, that's part of hype and promotion.
Anyways, respect or no... there are always going to be fighters that ppl will hate and get labeled as worthless fighters. Oh well, life sucks for some.
