    Default Franklin coming back

So in due time would Franklin like to erase his loss to Silva from his record?

“Well definitely, I’m going to have to…he has my belt right now. I’m looking to climb back on the horse and see what I need to do to get my belt back,” Franklin said.

Franklin’s coming back with a vengeance, so all UFC middleweights better beware…

“I’ll be back on top soon my friends,” Franklin said.

Randy Couture: I’m more of a battle of attrition, take you down, beat you up till you really don’t want to fight anymore, type of fighter

BJ Penn: It's just the wrong time to fight BJ Penn.

yes I saw the fight I just think that Rich didnt do enough or anything at all to try to win the fight....Its just a wierd feeling he got owned but it just went down really wierd.

Now dont go and read all in to it I am not saying it was fixed or anything like that I am just saying that Rich didnt do his best so I dont know that I can really buy that he got schooled so bad.

I take nothing away from Silva he did his job but Rich didnt do his
    thats it

It seams as though Silva has a knack for making competitors fight at their worst. I'm just bringing up the notion that it might not be that Franklin was bad, but that Silva was too good...don’t forget how Silva took Leben(a top prospect for a MW title shot) out of his game...might not be a coincidence.

Something was clearly wrong with Rich that night. He looked sickly. He'll lay Silva down the next time they fight....if Silva's even the champ anymore.

You're right, I'm excited about the comeback trail. I'd say not Leben, because Rich would have to KO him as quickly as Silva did in order to look competitive. Not Swick, because Swick is headed for the title shot and Rich could (would) derail him. Loiseau is gone and no one wants to see them rematch anyway. Winner of Marquardt/Lister? Nah, probably some can first, to get his confidence up.
Randy Couture: I’m more of a battle of attrition, take you down, beat you up till you really don’t want to fight anymore, type of fighter

BJ Penn: It's just the wrong time to fight BJ Penn.

Hes the former champion ( and a hell of one at that) should not just be granted a rematch?

God I hope not. As you recall, they did an instant rematch in HW and ruined the division for the next year.

That's what I was saying before...Silva was just too good which, in turn, made Rich look bad...Silva did the same with Leben...

very true.... BUT i do also think that a prepared rich, on his best night can beat silva... so id love a rematch.... however silva is just so much bigger, faster, stronger, more skilled then everyone anticipated.... maybe HE prepared more and got more skilled then ever before in his life too...

Rich just came in with a terrible gameplan, possibly even worse than Leben's.

Leben's Plan:I have a hard chin so I'll just eat a million punches until I hit him with a good one.

Rich's Plan:I'm gonna beat one of the best Muay Thai fighters on the planet by using my strength in the clinch.

Silva is a great fighter, but he probably had the easiest road to a title in MMA history.

May all the glory of Brock be with you.

I agree. They need to mix it up a lot more and have these guys fight more often. They should all fight once a month.

If he is to beat silva if will be on the ground by gnp. Two fights in the ufc and silva has to highlight reel ko's.

I'll have to see him do it a few more times before he makes a believer out of me.
