Yeah, that is a good idea now that I think about it. I try to be all scientific about it by looking up fighter profiles and looking at the numbers of TKO wins and KO wins and submission wins and then try to guess what might happen based off of that. It has not been any more effective than drawing predictions out of a hat! |

I doubt there is much science to it. asronn had his picks in within a few minutes after I posted the contest. I think I overanalyze things which was probably my problem too. I am usually dead last in most of my picks and bets.
I'm one of the best Hearts players in the neighborhood though. That has to count for something.

My downfall as well. I definitely over-analyze. That and i give fighters too much respect because of how good they are. I don't want to think a good fighter is going to destroy another good fighter, so i just put it out of my head. It gets to the point that i'm not being objective because i'm giving too much respect.

I think we all have a pretty good idea who will win most fights...then we start making up ways the other guy can win...and thats ok if your a fan...but when its a bet.....if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...well damn lets just call it a duck and see what happens...thats what I always say...the hardest thing for me to do is pick a round...I just tell myself that a top 3 guy will probably finish it in two no matter who he is fighting

I lost by one point again. That's happened to me a couple times in recent UFC events. Oh well, I still did very well, and hopefully I can move up one spot next time. I want those points!  |
