Default Diaz v. Tibau

I saw the lineup posted in another thread...

Prelim Bouts:
-Jake O'Brien vs. Josh Shockman
-James Irvin vs. Hector Ramirez
-Antoni Hardonk vs. Sherman Pendergarst
-Nick Diaz vs. Gleison Tibau

Live PPV Bouts:
-Joe Stevenson vs. Dokonjonosuke Mishima
-Brandon Vera vs. Frank Mir
-Tim Sylvia (c) vs. Jeff Monson (UFC HW Title)
-Alessio Sakara vs. Drew McFedries
-Matt Hughes (c) vs. Georges St. Pierre (UFC WW Title)

So do you think they'll show the Diaz fight? I'd like to actually see it.

Well it's been a rough year for Nick but hopefully he can continue his winning ways and win his second fight in a row (after three straight losses against tough competition - Diego, Riggs, Sherk). He should get the W but as we all know, anything is possible.

I think that's the next fight they'd want to show. But fitting in prelims is usually based off of how those fights go and how much time they have to kill.

Not too sure about it being a preliminary fight. During the weigh-ins, Diaz and his opponent weighed in during the main card portion.

I think Diaz will probably win...but in regard to betting for this fight...I went with Tibau...getting 4X what I bet sounds like a good deal...rather than .17 (I think) one would get betting on Diaz...so if I lost the 50-100 points I bet on Tibau...no big deal...

I'm going with Diaz and I think it'll be shown if only for the after fight sound clips from Diaz.

Agreed, I can't wait to see what Diaz is going to say next. His last UFC he had a very good after fight interview on Sherdog. Kid has a brain and makes good points.

He's just had bad luck the last couple of years.

How do you know this? Has it been stated somewhere that Diaz is getting cut loose after this fight win or lose? What would be the reasoning in that? You could hear from the cheers that Diaz still sells tickets and has a huge fan following....

I don't see that either. No way Nick gets cut if he wins. Win or lose I'd hate to see him cut again. Win or lose that kid's a scrapper.

no doubt, he is a banger. where could i find clip of his post fight interviews. i only saw the one after sanchez (he looked like a fool in that one though).

anyway, the guy he's fighting looked like he came prepared, so hopefully it is a good match.

its kinda strange since A. Silva came around. a lot of people were like "silva who??", then after he beat leben, people were like "yeah he beat down leben, but he wont do that to rich", then after he beat down rich, people were like "damn".

i guess my point is that Anderson silva has brought a lot of fun back into the sport with respect to underdogs and guys who arent really well known. its kinda like macdonald, but silva had more build up and experience.

it is kinda like when i watched the weigh ins, any one of these guys could take the mma world by storm, and it just may be the diaz opponent, we never know.

i hope this fight is aired, being diaz's farewell fight and all. it woiuyld be quite disrespectful if they didnt show it, imo.

I'd like to see the fight but not live, I care as much about Diaz as that pimple I had on my shoulder last tuesday. I did root for him vs Diego but I'd have rooted for Patrick Duffy against Diego. Hopefully Tibau crushes his ribs in a dude hug.
