When this fight happens it will be very interesting to see Diego take GSP down and see if Diego can handle GSP's strikes.

But Diego is one tough guy so I am looking forward for this match. I think before we go any further Diego has to go thru Riggs first before he can say he wants a title shot against GSP.

Styles make fights. GSP isn't unbeatable. Sanchez is a little better striker than Hughes.. He might have a little better chance of getting GSP to the ground.

are you kidding me.... 2 days ago NO ONE would agree with that.... hughes is FAR better at getting guys to the ground... diego couldnt even get alessio down.... and both their standups are equal at best.... GSP beating down matt like that is a huge statement

GSP's ground game is better IMO than his stand up, so I don't know what Diego would do to beat him?

There's nothing at all that Diego has that matches GSP. Not on the ground, and certainly not standing.

Why throw him in so quickly it will just ruin his career with a little time he will be a great fighter with a real chance at beating GSP "dont try to jump the fence befor you learn to walk you'll get you ass handed to ya"

What is he 17-0 and had impressive wins over Nick Diaz and Karo Parisyan?...I think he’s about ready for a title fight...After he finishes Joe Riggs, of course.

GSP only had, what, 3-5 fights in the UFC before he got a title shot against Matt the first time. Diego has about as many but IMO, Diego's opponents were tougher than GSP's opponents before his title shots.

If he gets a shot at GSP he will get destroyed. Like it or not he dosent stand a chance at beating GSP he needs a little more experence. 17-0 how many UFC fighters are in those numbers.I agree hes a great fighter but too many times a great up and comer gets kicked to the side becouse of losses to the more experenced fighters when all they need is a little time to improve.

IMO>>>> Deago vs Riggs and wins give him a shot a Matt Serra if he wins Matt Houghes and then GSP. Mabe then he will stand a chance. "Remember opinions are like a--holes most people have one" lol

I like Diego and GSP, but I do not think Diego can handle GSP.

I would have to put my $$$ on GSP all the way!

i would agree. if they just keep padding diego's record, though, it may do more harm than good. i think randy said once that youare only as good as the guys you face. if diego doesnt start facing increasingly better competition, he may suffer for it.

besides, you never know. how many of you guys thought that rich would go down so easily, or mir, or anyone else. some people on here are even giving lutter a chance at a win.

No, Diego's opponents weren't tougher. GSP fought Karo, Jay Hieron, then Hughes.

Diego has 5 wins and no losses in the UFC.With one win over a top 10 fighter and another win over a top 5 fighter.

Hieron and Karo are not better victories than Karo and Diaz.

Better than Karo and Alessio. Or Karo and Gassaway. GSP only had two fights before the title shot. So give one to Diego already. It's time.
