i agree. if the fight isnt televised, i woudnt think that they would get any bonus. i would the reasoning is that the chance to fight in a big card is the bonus.
all things considered, i kind of understand why matt made more. he was the champ for a long time, they reward the past as well as performance. matt has earned his paycheck given all he has done over the last few years.

really? the only reason i would think he couldnt make it is because of his age, it may be harder for him to cut wieght. but he's not a big man at all im pretty sure when him and Matt fought at that catch wieght he didnt lose or gain any wieght it was his normal size.

He's 6'1 and normally upwards of 180.
He had to fight Hughes at a 175 catchweight.
I don't think he could ever make 155,and even if he did,a guy like Sherk or Guillard would be a nightmare for him.

sometimes it seems strange if fighter a got x for winning and fighter b got x for losing. ufc pays you to 'show up' and your guaranteed that money, then if you win its doubled. so if you get 20k to show and you win you get 40k. wheas if you opponent got 30k to show and loses he only gets that 30k, but he would have made 60 had he won. so when you see what someone was paid and they won the match thats actually double what there guaranteed to get for being there...
like monson wouldve made 26k had he won, matt wouldve made 150k had he won...
