if that happens i won't be surprised either. CroCop and Tim Sylvia deserve their places as the #2 and #3 HWs in the world. however i would personally hesitate using the word annihilate in the case. if it were to happen it would be a very competitive match. we all know what CroCop can do but Tim keeps pulling new tricks out of his bag during every fight.

it would be killer if the ufc got fedors littlebrother and crocop.... with vera aa and tim that would make a nice couple of fights... atleast enough great fights to finish off 2007.... then if they can get rampage in the ufc to fight the loser of chuck and tito.... the ufc might have something great going!

I totally agree with you. Sylvia (although I'm not his biggest fan) comes to fight and takes all his challenges seriously.

Do I think CroCop would KO Sylvia? Yes. But at the same time, Sylvia is one of those type guys that if he does go down, he's gonna go down swinging.

And sometimes that's all you need.

How do you know it's going to be unsuccesful already?

because alot of their fighter contracts are up.... because besides the people on this board, if you go out to a bar, alot of them dont even know what pride is, which is a MAJOR problem when they do know what the UFC is... because the first show sucked, and im unimpressed with the upcoming cards... and finally because id like for pride to stay in japan, be big there so they can continue to have alot of the big fighters and concentrate on the things i like about pride, such as the tourniments and other innovative things ONLY pride has.... to try and be a 2nd class UFC in the states is a horrible, possibly dooming decision on the part of pride..

i think crocop is the best fighter in the world personally, slightly above fedor (hears screams and yells coming) i just think he has the potential to go on a streak bigger then fedor... however sylvia is the type of guy who can beat anyone... it may not be pretty but he COULD win... and if he beat crocop in the UFC, so what the ufc still would have crocop which is huge no matter what... how about an AA \ crocop match then? who wouldnt wanna see that

It's always been like that in the US. But once they've had 6 shows there, I'd expect it to change a bit. Everyone who gets into MMA, is going to go to the internet, and find out that maybe UFC isn't the Superbowl of MMA after all.

well id agree crocop would win, but both are very exciting and it would be nice to see crocop kick in some of the UFC guys for a change... regardless its very possible at this point... and as far as pride i just totally disagree with their plan for the next year and i think as a result they will be in trouble...
was there something wrong with running the shows out of japan?? will that crowd feel disrespected.... ? is there any room for more MMA in the US? i personally think no... the IFL tried, the WFA tried... where are they? regradless that pride already has the fighters, the US crowd is still VERY new to this and simply doesnt appreciate it...

I think Crocop would chop timmy down with his killer left kicks. One after another on the knee until he weakens timmy enough to set him up for a kick to the head (not sure if he could kick that high) or a kick to the liver. Nite, Nite Timmy...

I like AA. He's one of my favorites, but he has a weak chin. All Cropcop has to do is land one solid punch on that chin. Nite, Nite AA...

Catch AA with his trademark kick...Nite, Nite AA...

I would love to see either fight...

Being able to survive a fight against Fedor and only lose by decision really makes a statement. Not only did he make it through the whole fight, but also did some work on Fedors' face.

I know people will say that Crocop still lost the fight, but how many people in PRIDE can say I lost to fedor by desicion, not by KO?

Regardless, Crocop and Fedor are great athletes! I will always cheer for them.

yes im unimpressed with the upcoming show cards... because they dont announce the fights!!! who is fighting who for NYE?? fedor vs hunt, as ive stated i could care less about that because fedor definently will win by decision or sub... id much rather watch matches where anything can happen... as for the rest of the card, arona VS TBA or shogun vs TBA ect ect doesnt do it for me... TBA alot of the time is bums, and with the quality of fighters they have, they HAVE to start putting them against each other....
the tourniments are GREAT, i love following those... the marketing of pride is horrible... i just cant see pride passing by UFC in the states ever.. its just too late...

and sure they COULD resign all those guys, but who knows if they do... if they do that certainly helps their cause a lot... if they let fedor and crocop end up in the UFC they are dead

If Cro Cop came to UFC, it would be the greatest thing ever.... for about a year. Then people will start bitching and moaning that there is no competition, and that Dana needs to bring in more talent.

UFC's HW division is an endless cycle of crap. The only cure is to ignore UFC's HW bouts, and watch Pride's instead. UFC LW-LHW = good stuff.
