Yea I personally don't like Koscheck hoever he is a very talented fighter. I Just think that Hughes should fight Karo first before he fights GSP for the title but I guess MAtt gets to go right back to a title shot.Originally Posted by Profane

Quarry is healed! He will be back to rock the MW division in '07.
Diego vs. Hughes should happen and the winner of this fight will determine who should fight the current WW UFC champion, which should be GSP cause he will beat Matt Serra to retain his belt anyway.
I think the Diego vs. Hughes fight will be interesting now since Diego can punch and Matt is still improving in his striking. So if it stays on its feet then Diego now has an advantage over Hughes but if they go to the ground then I don't know who has the advantage.
It will be an AWESOME fight and I hope Dana will make it happen!!
They should throw Diego vs. Hughes on the UFC 67 card. That card is pretty crappy so far with the very predictable GSP/Serra and Silva/Lutter fights, so adding a good high-profile fight like Hughes/Sanchez would add a lot to it.
That's a good idea. It would create the intrest in the event that just isn't there right now.Originally Posted by Jenkins83

Here are the top ten WW fighters:01. Georges St. PierreA match between Karo Parisyan and Josh Koscheck makes sense because that is a match that people will want to see. However, I would love to see a Diaz-Koscheck match in February or April, and then maybe a match between the winner of Diaz-Koscheck to fight Parisyan in a match a few months later.
02. Matt Hughes
03. BJ Penn
04. Diego Sanchez
05. Karo Parisyan
06. Jake Shields
07. Jon Fitch
08. Akira Kikuchi
09. Nick Diaz
10. Josh Koscheck
GSP and Hughes are busy for the next six months. So, I do not expect a Hughes-Sánchez match before next summer. BJ Penn is still ranked #3. In my mind, a Penn-Sánchez fight makes sense for next spring, possibly in April. The winner of Penn-Sánchez fights the winner of GSP-Hughes in July or August of 2007.
I saw this clip from an article linked at the UFC website:Sanchez remains perfect with KOSo, it seems that we will see the matches in a progression along the lines of GSP-Serra in February, then the winner of that fights Matt Hughes in April, and then the winner of that match fights Diego Sánchez next summer.
UFC: He stops Riggs in first round, improves to 17-0.

"You know I told everyone I was improving but I didn't wanna rush it," Sanchez said after the fight. "I wanted to take my time and prove that I was up for it. ... I was just going to be calm and let the techniques come into play and that's what happened."
As dominating as Sanchez has been since winning, he may have to wait until the Summer of 2007 to get his title shot. Georges St. Pierre, who knocked out Matt Hughes last month to win the welterweight title, is scheduled to defend his title Feb. 3 against Ultimate Fighter 4 winner Matt Serra. The winner of that bout will defend against Hughes on April 7.

How is BJ Penn ranked Higher than Diego? Pffft.
All bj has done lately is "looked good" while LOSING, all his matches.

ARE YOU READY?
LET'S GET IT ON!
Meh whatever. Unlike Bj, Diego not only LOOKS GOOD in his matches but he actually WINS them too.
Bj has not had a UFC win in what? 2-3 years?
Ranked higher, i think NOT.
Diego > BJ
Oh god, here go. Diego vs. Bj talk.

Diego>The Juggernaut
May all the glory of Brock be with you.
If somehow BJ still considered by the UFC the top 3 WW, and get the chance to fight Diego, I would sell my car, tv, stereo, to place one big bet on Diego..
The only person that would give Diego trouble, at this period, is GSP, because GSP is more well rounded fighter, with excellent foot work and strikings. But that would change, if given time, as I said in other posts, give Diego till near the end of 2007, he will be ready, and take over the UFC's WW crown.
The match that would be ligit, is Hughes vs. Diego, after the rematch between Hughes and GSP. Then after that Diego will take a few months off, and challenge GSP to take over the WW championship title.
I know it's a bit soon now to predict Diego as a winner for Diego / GSP match up later, considering how impressive GSP was in his last win ove Hughes. We all could say anything we want, state opinions, just remember, I predicted it today, when it happens in the end of 2007
As for Matt Hughes, he probably won't win his rematch with GSP. And probably would loose to Diego also. But Matt will always remain in the top 3 WW in the UFC. Koshchek and others will only rise up so far in the ranking, and will be beaten by BJ at the 4th ranking..
and if Karo really concentrate on training, he would eventually move up to the 4th rank, beating BJ. Those will be the top 5 WW in the UFC.
Hughes would beat both Kos and Diego and he will loose again to GSP.
