Franca vs Fisher Jan UFN.
"All the paper work is done" for what will have to be considered a number one contender's eliminator match for the UFC lightweight title between Spencer Fisher and Hermes Franca on January 25th at the UFC Fight Night in Miami Florida according to Hermes Franca's manager Joe Mullings.
"Nothing is guaranteed" says Mullings of a potential title shot for the winner of the fight.
"But the direction of conversation has been that either Fisher or Franca will likely be in line for a shot at (UFC lightweight champion) Sean (Sherk). So what I think we will have is two real good veterans. Spencer’s a tough guy that learned to fight on wooden floors at honkey tonks. Hermes has a lot of respect for him. These are two camps (Fisher’s Team Militech and Franca’s Team Armory) that really respect each other" Mullings says.
Franca is 17-5 including a spectacular 2006 that saw him go 7-0, including back to back wins in the UFC in July and August.
Fisher is 19-2 and has also won two consecutive fights in the UFC, this past October and the May before.
UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk is recovering from rotator cuff shoulder surgery and it's unknown when he will be able to return to action.
InsideFighting will be checking in with the rest of the parties involved in this fight and the lightweight title picture, including Spencer Fisher, Hermes Franca and Sean Sherk very soon.

PS- Tito Ortiz is 5x the fighter that Big Nog and Frank Mir are... if they ever fought Tito would dig a grave and KTFO out of both of them with only his left hand.
