Default UFN: Evans vs Salmon

No ones started a thread for this event yet so I thought i'd get the ball rollin. Please share all ur thoughts, predictions, and opinions of the matches lined up.

Evans vs Salmon: From wat I gathered this will be a one sided match for Evans, but I'm curious to see Salmon's wrestling so it should be ok.

Lister vs Marquardt: Should be a good fight, I actually like both these fighters. If I had to pick one for the win I would go with Marquardt.

Obrien vs Herring: Herring making his UFC debut, should be interesting. I'm a Jake O'brien fan.

Franca vs Fisher: This is actually one of the fights I'm most interested in. The winner will probably be one of the top contenders for the LW belt. I'm goin for Fisher.

Herman vs Price: I think they set this match up to get Herman his first win in the UFC. Don't see Price winning.

Evans, Marquardt and Franca are my picks, not so sure about the other 2 fights you mentioned.

I think Franca/Fisher has the potential to be the best fight of the night. Is it true that this is the #1 contender fight for the LW title or was that just a rumor??

i would laugh my ass off if price won. sorry ed, it seems to be laugh or cry sometimes, but at least his stablemate, leben, is in the same boat.

anyone notice on the ufc website that it says price is 8-0, and underneath it says he lost to grove...wtf lol.

i hope price takes this fight.

Evans got his ass stomped which was crazy, he just was not able to defend himself like he has in the past, and those elbows just destroyed his face

Anyways with all the Rashad hype, if he wins this fight and Rampage wins his next fight or two, you can somewhat smell a Rashad Rampage fight and the winner getting a title. Its hard to say because it seems like Rashad is yet to fight Top Level fighters. There probably keep Evans on the back burner for the LHW if he pulls this off. Also I think there is already a thread on Evans Salmon and the conclusion is this a spoon fed match for evans.lol

Ok, so since Salmon doesnt stand a chance in this fight, who do u think Rashad should fight after? I've been hearing Jardine or Griffin.

This is going to be a decision for Rashad or Rashad will be submitted. I'm leaning toward submission. Call me crazy. Seems to be a bad matchup for 'ol Rashad.

Evans Vs Salmon? Talk about a *yawn* match there. A Rashad Spoon-Fed match should NOT be the main event(hopefully won't be).

I HOPE there are other, BETTER fights on the card than THAT

harms, you are crazy. crazy harms...

i think that this should be one the less stellar fights that could headline a fightnight.

either rashad will lnp for the win, or he will totally dominate, neither option really sounds all that great or exciting for a televised event.

if rashad wins, i hope he gets forrest next. i think that a forrest evans fight would be a lot of fun to watch, and since forrest has lost a few as of late, and because rashad has yet to fight a contender, this would make sense.

why Forrest? He has lost his last two fights. I would say Jardine but they are training partners and I think they both need to remain n Jacksons camp...I think after Rashad beats him he should fight Babalu or Ortiz..We now it wont be Rampage. I doubt Rampage will be tested before he fights Chuck. That is a fight most MMA fans cant wait to see and after Rampage slams a few UFC fighters the fans who only know UFC will be looking forward to the fight. Im picking Rashad, Lister, Franca, and Price just because I like watching Ed "Im still mad Tito didnt pick me" Herman lose...

Rashad will beat Salmon by TKO due to strikes midway thru round 2. Mark my words.

Off-topic, but did anyone hear if Rashad and Jardine ever said they if they would fight each other if they had to? I don't know how close they are, after training with each other.

I don't see the reason for Rashad to face Forrest next. Forrest lost his last two fights, while Rashad keeps winning. It would be yet another step down for Rashad. A Jardine/Rashad fight could be good though. And I'm dying to see Rashad face Rampage, even though Rampage would seriously mess him up right now.

Again, this "fight" with Salmon is ridiculous.

Actually Forrest has lost 2 of his last 3 fights(he beat Bonnar), but I do agree that he is moving down the ladder and Rashad is still climbing.

Fisher/Franca will be alot better I think. I personally am hopin for a Sherk/Fisher fight this year so I hope he pulls off the win. Marquardt and Lister has potential too.

As for Herring/Obrien, might be interesting. And personally I don't know why everyones hatin on Herman. I want to see him pull off the win. He was a TUF runner up after all.

i dont know why everyone is hatin of herman, but i do know why I am hatin on herman.

ever since he stepped foot on the show, he was a ..... anyway, i thought it was great when grove beat him, and even better when macdonald beat him. tito may not respect him anymore, so now he may not respect tito anymore, but i can live with that.

...ed herman...too funny!!
