Rashad Evans Sold or not Sold?
Hi guys, this is a fighter who is splitting fight forum, i personally have little or no desire to watch evans fight at this STAGE in his career.
his one KO win was in my opinion greatly exaggerated, however he does possess great wrestling skills and as some peope say a wins a win. i am of the other persuasion that a win is not necessarily a win tho, if you failt to entertain you are little better than gonzago vs jordan. a long dull fight with little to no excitement.
im asking you if you are sold on rashad or does he have to prove to you more that he is the real deal that everyone says he is.
this is by no means fighter bashing, i am interested to see where the majority sits in relation to rashad evans and his fighting career in the UFC.

He's a tough guy in the UFC LHW-division already. Not a lot of guys in there, who can beat him.

I was one of the few people to like Rashad during the TUF season. I didn't like his showboating, but other than that I think he presents himself well, is confident but not overconfident, and I could see he had the natural ability to be a good fighter. His game is coming together nicely and I think the thing he needs to work on most now is submissions and submission defense.

I'm not sold on the fact that he's the next big thing. He has potential but hasn't lived up to it yet imho

I want to see him beat up tito. Tito is not a better wrestler and rashad probably has better hands. Rashad will beat tito by whatever means he fills like.

TO me the jury is still out. He needs to fight more (In the UFC), for me to be sold on him. A great wrestler (which I like), but think he needs to do something like kick Tito Ortiz's ass first before we put Rashad up there.

I think that about a month ago there wasn't enough Rashad talk, and now there may be too much. He's proved to me that:
-He's above your average LHW
-He's a hell of an athlete
-He's well rounded
-He trains hard and has good stamina
But he hasn't been tested enough yet to know for sure whether he's anything special. He hasn't been tested to the point where any weaknesses will have revealed themselves. He is yet to fight a BJJ Black Belt, so who knows, for a master submission artist Rashad might be a sitting duck. He also hasn't fought a great striker yet, so for all we know he might get knocked out easily by somebody like Chuck Liddell, Rampage, or maybe even Michael Bisping. This is all speculation... all I'm trying to say is that Rashad is a good well rounded fighter, but he's only really fought other well rounded fighters, guys like Jason Lambert, Stephan Bonnar, Brad Imes, Same Hoger... The only thing Rashad has really proven is that he's a better well rounded fighter than your average well rounded fighter.

Fan for life. He's good now, and keeps getting better. I don't care what the doubters say.
