Default "Mock" Open Weight UFC Tournament

Ok now i know its been talked about a lot in the past with Pride doing it and the Neveda State Athletic Commision not allowing it but I thought it would be fun to discuss and see who would win a mock Open Weight Tournament so I set up a little bracket and i figured we could argue and vote each fight one at a time and see who ends up winning the mock tournament by votes. I took basically the top 5-7 guys from each weight class and a couple extras theres making it a 32 man tournament. I tried to seed it the best i could but obviously everyones got there own opinions on who should be where so i wont include numbers. I did my best to make sure the same weight classes didnt meet in the first round make it more interesting. Well start with Fight 1 today and vote on a new one daily so everyone gets the chance to get there opinion in. Make sure you vote cause thats what ill go off of. tell me what you guys think!

Fight 1: Mirko "Cro Cop" vs. Chris Leben
Fight 2: Randy Couture vs Spencer Fischer
Fight 3: Brandon Vera vs Mike Swick
Fight 4: Matt Hughes vs Jeremy Horn
Fight 5: Sean Sherk vs Rashad Evans
Fight 6: Rich Franklin vs Jon Fitch
Fight 7: Diego Sanchez vs Hermes Franca
Fight 8: Georges St. Pierre vs Jason MacDonald
Fight 9: Anderson Silva vs Joe Stevenson
Fight 10: Tito Ortiz vs Jens Pulver
Fight 11: Nate Marquart vs Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
Fight 12: Tim Sylvia vs Melvin Guillard
Fight 13: BJ Penn vs Forrest Griffin
Fight 14: Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs Karo Parisyan
Fight 15: Andre Arlovski vs Keith Jardine
Fight 16: Chuck Liddell vs Josh Koscheck

First fight is so evenly unmatched that it is unfair. Chris Leben got knocked out easily by Silva in the first round and that is how i see this fight goin. Leben thinks he can talk a punch but can he handle a kick? Cro Cop 1st round TKO

I'll go ahead and predict the overall winner... BJ Penn, no wait, Mirko Cro Cop.

There'd be some interesting fights in there, but some slaughters as well. Cro-Cop might end Leben's life. Same with Tito and Jens Pulver. Pulver would be giving up 40+ pounds to a GnP fighter - that's asking for trouble! It'd be nice to see Sherk whip Rashad's ass so the Rashad nut huggers would STFU! I don't think it would happen, but I'd love to see it! I think Babalu/Parisyan might be interesting, along with Griffin/Penn. I'd like to see Spencer Fisher actually fight a guy he'd have a chance against. Couture would devestate him - now that Couture's back at HW, he'd have at least 50 pounds on Fisher!

Arlovski might give him a run. But, like usual, I think Arlovski's chin (or lack of) would be his downfall. Chuck might have a chance as well. You can never count out a guy with that kind of KO power. Chuck/Cro-Cop might come down to whoever could land the first big shot.

Penn v Griffin would be badass if Penn had better cardio. I predict the top being Cro Cop and maybe Ortiz (just because of his cardio)
