Matt Serra Vs GSP
isnt this fight happening at ufc 69?
to me it is alot like lutter vs silva but i dont think serra has as good of chance as lutter does even tho he is a great grappler and beat gomi but what are your thoughts on this? i woulda like to see gsp have a harder first title defence

And there's already a thread that exists for the Serra/GSP fight.

You'll want to use the search to keep from creating duplicate threads.

i disagree, it's just going to fuel anti-gsp people because serra isn't that much of a contender and there's lots of more deserving people in line, don't get me wrong, i like matt serra, but the title shot of tuf4 was a bad call and i see no good thing that's going to come for gsp no matter how much he dominates.

Yeah, but I don't see him staying at WW after this fight. He'll drop down to LW and do well.

yeah i think you are right on that one i think he is just hoping to not get injured as thsi was just his foot back in the door with the ufc. IMO he had full intentions of dropping down but he just has to get beat up first lmao

I think that Serra has a better chance than Lutter actually. Gsp is not the striker that Silva is and Serra is no slouch. He has four losses on his record, 3decisions to Karo, BJ, and Din Thomas, and the infamous spinning backfist KO loss to Shonie Carter, a fight he was winning easily until he got caught. I think he will lose, but I see him lasting alot longer against GSP than Lutter will against Silva.
