CroCop entered with the Pride song

In my personal opinion, I think Cro Cop is representing Pride in the UFC. That is why he used the theme music. I think he has come to the UFC to make a bunch of money, demolish the UFC Heavyweight division and prove that Pride is the superior organization (whether it is or isn't) then return to Japan and fight Fedor again.

Personally I think Pride and UFC are both great organizations, I prefer the UFC because of the Octagon and the frequency of fights, but Pride has a far superior Heavyweight and Lightweight division, while the UFC has superior Light Heavyweight, Middleweight and Welterweight divisions.

I wonder if Rampage is in the UFC also to prove a point or if he's embracing the UFC as his new organization.

Uh, no. Shogun, Lil Nog, Arona, W. Silva.

At the end of the day...every fighter\athlete is there for the $$$.

Don't matter who you are or how good you are. All you want to see is GREEN.

Sad but true!

I haven't been a member long, but I've lurked for a while before I signed up. Why does it become a habit for people to blast thread topics? I mean if you don't like the topic don't go into it. It's of interest to some people, so let them discuss it. People complaining about topics being posted ie"WHO THE HELL CARES" post just detract from the overall value of the forums.

I myself have casually been a MMA fan since UFC started, and the past few months thanks the past two TUF show have started to really get into it, so I had no idea what the music he used was from Pride. Therefore this topic was very interesting to me.

Or right it could be that CroCop likes the music (which he most probably choose to enter in Pride) so he kept it when he came to the UFC. Why does everyone think everything is some kind of conspiracy, like when Dana told Chuck he was an AHole at UFC66.

Well, Ive seen some post-fight interviews here and there, and Dana apparently said he didnt like it, but he told CroCop he is ok with him using that song.

About it being his entrance song in Pride also, no. His entrance song is "Wild Boys" by Duran Duran. What he walked into the Octagon with on Saturday was the PRIDE FC Theme song. No fighter ever used it as an entrance.

I mean its pretty harmless, but lets be honest, its like Ronald McDonald walking around in a Burger King T-Shirt.

CroCop didnt take part in pre- or post-fight conferences, he uses Prides theme song and says and does what he likes, because he can do that. This is one fighter that wont be punked around by Zuffa. UFC should be honored to have him, and its fighters like him that will lift the organisation to another level... and thats good for the MMA fan.

He could of came into the ring with marry had a little lamb for all I care, all I gave a **** about was that crazy fast left hand and those unhuman size thighs. I felt bad for eddie , he looked scared ****less and Crocop was stocking him like a crobra cornering a Rat.

i know anderson silva wasn't to enter to micheal jackson, but he won't for fear it would make him unpopular :P but man, him entering the octogon to like thriller would be sweet

I don't want to sound like a d!ck, but what is the big deal about what he uses as his entrance music?

Big deal he used the PRIDE theme song so what? If the man wants to enter a fight with a Michael Jackson song then let it be don't make a big deal about it.

I just don't get why people always make a big deal about the smallest most insignificant things.

What's going to be the next thing? Why Crocop didn't put Sanchez to sleep?

LoL

I can't believe no one said.........Maybe it means the UFC is close to buying PRIDE ?????

OMG you guys talk about some of the most retarded crap sometimes I'm sorry.....

Its a cool sounding song 1st off I'd come out to it too.....2nd If Dana and Zuffa wasn't ok with it, It never would have heppend seeing how they control that stuff and if he did something to hurt the UFC as an Org. it would mean breach of contract I'm sure and that would mean he just had a fight for free and maybe a fine on top.

Stop acting like little girls OMG this place is getting filled with some :bomb: :bomb: :bomb: :bomb: NVM I'll shut up before I say something I really mean to say.

lol...relax man. Its only a sport. No need to turn into a suicide bomber. lol

1. Coming out to the Pride song has nothing to do with "cool", by the way that song isnt cool at all. If there is a single thing I dont like about Pride, then its that lame song. Its start out good with the drums then gets lame. There are millions of better songs he could have come out to, like his traditional "Wild Boys". I personally think Mirko still sees himself as a Pride fighter.

2. About the UFC buying Pride... Its a possiblity, however here is a link which talks about why they wont buy Pride FC.. in theory. I think its some interesting reading. I dont necessarily agree 100%, but Zach makes some good points.

Thats because he ran away 95% of the time. I dont blame him, CroCop was coming at him like Terminator 2.0

during the fight CroCop REALLY reminded me of terminator, the way he was slowly methodically stalking sanchez was crazy, it was like something out of a horror movie, no matter how fast sanchez was running around and away, crocop was always right behind him even though he was only walking, and plus he like decapitated him

"Notably, Cro Cop's entrance music for his UFC debut was the Pride Fighting Championships' theme song. This is not the kind of thing that happens accidentally, and it is the most overt indication yet that the UFC is hoping to purchase Pride at some point in the near future. It is anyone's guess whether Zuffa will actually end up buying Pride (and whether Zuffa will keep it running as a separate promotion if they do buy Pride), but the moment that Cro Cop's entrance music started playing tonight served to eliminate any remaining doubt of the UFC's intentions" (from mmaweekly sunday feb 3rd)

It's been corrected! It may not be this year, but it'll happen.

you may be correct. mma weekly had this discussion and suggested that it was indicative of ufc coming close to buying pride.

I agree. The fighters can choose any song they want. I think it was FAR better than freakin IMAGINE by John Lennon.

Come on ! imo thats the best damn entrance song in the buisness !
