The answer to your question, and all these ones, is that the UFC's matchmaking these days sucks. They put on some good fights here and there, but for the last few events, it seems like a lot of fans are upset with the choices Joe Silva or whoever it is, makes.
Fitch fighting Fiorvanti is just like all the other questionable matchups lately. Fitch deserves to face the elite. But you never know, Fiorvanti may be able to pull something off and make this a good fight. Who knows?
