Default Fighter Intros Thought (not UFC vs. Pride)

ok, first, this is NOT a UFC vs. Pride debate, it's just something I noticed that's weird about the UFC fighter intros. Other people can debate on whether it's better to have fireworks, mega-screens, etc. for intros in the UFC vs. Pride threads.

The UFC fighter intros (and by intros I mean when the fighter enters the arena) just start with music. Now, while that's cool in conjunction with the total darkness thing they do in title fights/main events, it's really bizarre in normal matchups.

Do they need Pride's crazy woman screaming the names before the fighter comes out? I don't know, but I think having someone (even Goldberg) announce the fighters over the PA with their music would make the intros seem a little more interesting. Sometimes it feels like the crowd is totally oblivious to the fighter entering the arena.

Nah, because they do all that in the ring anyway.

I like the subtitles underneath the fighters as they go through the walk-in.

no, I know that it's slightly redundant, I'm mainly advocating it to create some better pre-fight atmosphere in the arena. Right now the crowd seems oblivious to the fact that a song starting to play means that a fighter is entering the arena.

if they pick the right music (liddell, tito, babalu, hughes, etc) they really don't need a crazy chick screaming. i like the way the ufc does intros with the fans semi close and the fighters getting pumped on the way in. pride's it a little too WWE for me.
