This is true too. Never thought of that. People do pay money to see the guys they don't like.

I don't see why they would do Couture vs Sylvia again any time soon, after such a dominating performance.

If Cro Cop takes the strap, that puts Tim in play, big time. Everyone wants to see Cro Cop vs Sylvia, fans and haters, and if it's for the belt, so much the better. But if Randy beats Cro Cop (have we entered the twilight zone?), Tim should have to put a few wins together before the rematch.

Well, if Crocop/Gonzaga gets a title shot next, Tim obviously won't get an immediate rematch. Tim will go the route of Hughes/Franklin and take a lesser opponent and build up for a couple of fights. He'll then get his shot at winning the title for the 3rd time. Who knows who will have the title then, Crocop/Arlovski/Werdum/Gonzaga(he could get the next title shot)? I have a hard time believing that Randy will still be fighting when Sylvia gets a shot. Probably early next year.

This guy being Involved in a PPV couldn't sell tickets lol I never heard of the Heavyweight champion so dislike in my life, UFC 65 was a perfect example that Tim vs Monson fight was thrown to the side for the welterweight championship between Hughes and St. pierre because the numbers would of been brutal without it lol Tim should fight. But mark my word Tim's next fight will be agaist Brad Imes or Frank Mir and very possible heath Herring which ever one it should be nice to see Tim fight with some fire in him .

Hopefully Tim will come back better than ever and actually put up a decent challenge again. When he has not got the belt he seems to work and try harder because he really likes that belt. Tim deserves another title shot in the future but not straight away in my opinion. Randy vs Crocop should happen first

Tim is going to comeback, he always has when faced with a tough road. i think for Tim to be at his best he has to be trying to reach a goal. once he got that title he was content to just win by decision. to play it safe and win the majority of 5 rounds. he even said it post fight against Monson, the ref said they'd better start fighting and Tim thought to himself there was no way he was going to do anything that would cause him to lose the belt. what he needs to do is look at every fight as if he is trying to win the belt again as opposed to the horror of losing it. Tim will learn and comeback even better.

Not sure but like Rogan, I never understood the hatred towards this guy. He's a stand-up guy (no pun intended) who seems to be one of the good guys in the UFC. People just never embraced him, maybe cause of his look, who knows.

As for his comments about being injured in his post-fight interview...come on people. Anyone who saw that can clearly see he wasn't making excuses. He immediately followed it saying 'Sorry, i didnt mean to take a way from randy, he's deserving, yada yada.

Will he ever be embraced? probably not.

You really think they would put Tim against Brad Imes? Same camp? I dont see it at all. I worked with Brad all through college and am pulling for the guy big time. He doesnt have the experience to fight someone like Tim right now (IMHO). Especially them both being from Miletich.
He won his last fight in an 18 second 1st round KO, but lose his previous two in the UFC.

Am I alone here? Mir would be a good re-match...but I dont see the Imes thing happening anytime soon.

Imes is garbage, and a big ogar.

Only thing he has is size in that mammoth body. He's more awkward then big Tim, if thats possible.

One thing about Brad is he hasnt been doing this very long at all. He can learn a lot and is strong as an ox, but you can defenitely see his inexperience in the ring.

I talk to his brother quite a bit and he says that he is training hard and getting better and better. Whether that is brother talk or truth talk, only time will tell.

Its funny because one of my best friends who played football with Brad used to train as well... every time we watch him fight, my buddy SWEARS he can take him... its pretty funny.

That's a pretty harsh judgement. I'm no Imes fan but then again I havn't had a reason to be yet. He's what, 3:2:0? With only one actual UFC fight under his belt.

2 ufc fights, 0-2

I just don't understand these Imes' supporters thats all. Didn't mean to be too harsh. I think guys like him tarnish the UFC image and what its all about.
These are true mixed martial artists with years and years of training. He's a big oaf who swings for the fences. UFC 15 years ago is where he belongs.
He'll have ZERO success in this new UFC world, mark my words.

I don't really recognize TUF as UFC, the level of combat there is more reminiscent of WEC but I did miss Imes most recent win. Looked up his stats and he's 4-2-0.

Sylvia and Imes are both training partners, so they won't fight.
