Default Sylvia vs Couture fight staged?

Is it just me, or did the whole fight seem fixed? Im a big Couture fan and was really excited watching the first rounds of the match. Then I started to notice something suspicious. Tim Sylvia wasn't even fighting back. Sure Couture was moving his head a lot, but Tims punches didnt have any intent on them. This fight started looking a lot like the recent exhibition fight with Tyson and some random amatuer. The amatuer was presumbably told not to hurt Tyson and it was definitely obvious. The amatuer didnt capitalize on anything. Didnt show any aggression. He to was also a huge person. And of course Made Tyson look really good. The whole fight reeked of "lets make tyson look good." Thats kind of the feeling I took away after watching this fight.

There are a couple of reasons why Sylvia could of thrown the fight.
    1. He could of been offered a lot money. (A couple of bruises for a couple hundred grand. Well sure!)

    2. Big money fight, people will pay to watch the rematch.

    3. Or least likely, He didnt want to fight crocop.

I dont know, I could be completely wrong. But watch the fight again. This time, stop looking at Couture and just focus on just Sylvia and notice how much hes holding back.

It didnt seem staged. It was just Tim was tired and out of it after the first round. Even Couture was tired after like the 2nd round and they were both slow, just that Tim was even slower. Then in the last round Tim couldnt even try to punch Couture because he was always on his back.

There is no way that Tim staged this fight, he would of loved to keep the title and he honestly thought he could beat randy like some people did.

Can't we have ONE upset without this "was it fixed"-talk?

    This is just ridiculous imo.
    No offense.

Agreed, Couture simply out classed Sylvia, no secret "Dana White Conspiracy" or anything like that.

I think it is insulting to both fighters to think that they would stage an event like that. I just think that Randy had Tims number from the start. That first punch from Randy completely shocked Tim and he never properly recovered. Randy did exactly what he said he would do, "Impose his will". We all know Randy has years of experience and it showed in that fight. Tim was so unconfident because he didn't know if Randy would shoot or punch him. I've personally seen many amateur fighters do the same as Tim, before the fight they are very confident but suddenly during the fight they get completely surprised by their opponent and they loose all confidence and technique when previously they strong competitors. I suspect Tim will comeback stronger and hungrier and hopefully looking a lot more like the Tim Sylvia we used to know...

    Stupid thread.
Randy Couture: I’m more of a battle of attrition, take you down, beat you up till you really don’t want to fight anymore, type of fighter

BJ Penn: It's just the wrong time to fight BJ Penn.
