Which is your Favourite UFC in recent times?
I've just been watching some re-runs of the last 10 UFC's. I was wondering which is your favourite recent UFC and why?
Ps. I think mine has to be the last UFC (68) because of the Couture vs Sylvia fight.

I really enjoyed ufc 66 because most of the matchups I wanted to see. There was Jardines upset over Griffen, Jason Macdonald pull off another nice sub on leben, AA's return, Bispings debut since TUF, and of course Ortiz vs Liddell II which I was on the edge of my seat for the whole fight.

Yeah it was a close one for me. If it hadn't been for the Randy fight this one would have got my vote too.

Being Canadian, I would have to say UFC 65, not only am I near Montreal, but I truly support GSP. I have a strong feeling that we still haven't seen all of his talent yet.

I love GSP too, and I have to admit that fight was awesome. It was great to see him demolish Matt Hughes. I think that we have been spoilt recently with the amount of great events. But the good news is it is only going to get better with the buyout of Pride.
Especially now I've heard the news about the lightweight GP event!!

Would be 65 had Randy not done the greatest thing I have seen in my life so I have to vote 68.

^^^^My thoughts.
One-sided main events suck (unless you're REALLY rooting for the winner like in those two).
There was not much excitement for me with Chuck-Tito II and I kinda like Franklin too, so that made his main event with Silva a bit worse compared to GSP-Hughes and Randy-Sylvia.

Tito's improved counter punching and survival and decent body lock take-down wasn't exciting for you in Tito/Chuck II?
Man you're hard to please GooneR!

Haha, I knew Tito would survive, but I also knew he wouldn't win.
you just managed to please me with your post about Olaf Alfonso though.
One can like his appearance, be it due to looking Jesus or Charles Manson. That's totally up to you. Very well put.
I found his pre-fight talk in PRIDE funny as well. "I don't train anymore, I just do yoga and meditate" or something.

That's why I like him. He's a non oddball oddball Olaf. He can talk shop with the best of them, but then say something totally nutty. Kinda like me.

For one fight, 68 obviously. But for a PPV overall, 66. Exciting fights, fairly matched, and all the people i wanted to win did.

I went with 63 because Rashad finished lambert and I just love to watch BJ fight even though he lost. I cant stand hughes but his fights are always exciting

63 gets bronze, 66 gets silver as it's edged out by 68

I voted for UFC 68 because of couture amazing performance against Tim "the lameeac" Silva. Bad Intensions was in the close running showing my fellow quebecor GSP exposing country boy hughes.

I also picked UFC 65, seeing GSP beat Hughes was the best that I have felt after a match. Part of it is because I am Canadian, the other part is the fact that Hughes is not one of my favourite fighters.
