Is the dream fight over?
Some of my friends and I at the gym this morning were bsing about the recent buying of pride....
With Henderson defeating Wandy, will we see Chuck vs. Wandy? Or is the real hype/better matchup with Chuck vs. Shogun and/or Chuck vs. Henderson.....
Me personally, I would love to see Chuck vs. Wandy no matter what...and even with Wandy losing to Dan, I still think it's a dream fight that could actually happen, and will happen down the line...
How many of you guys would still love to see this matchup and who do you think would take it?
Chuck via KO round 1...I think Wandy would come in too aggresive and with Chucks great counter punching skills, he will catch Wandy early on in the first round....Similar to what he did to Babalu......

Do I want to see Chuck fight Wandy? Of course! As a fan of the sport, I pretty much want to see any two tough, competitive guys in the same weight class go at it. With Zuffa owning Pride, every matchup that people have discussed as a possibility makes me salivate.

I would still pay to see Liddell vs Silva.
Another UFC/Pride dream match would be Franklin vs Henderson BUT with the way the UFC protects Franklin that match would probably be more appropriate in the fantasy fight section.

Ya they sure protected Franklin from Silva's knees.
As for Liddell vs Wandy, I still want to see it, before Liddell vs Shogun or Henderson if possible. I would pick Liddell in any of those fights though. |

If the UFC cared about protecting Franklin, they would have given Anderson Silva more fights before his title shot, and let Rich come off his long layoff to an easier opponent. Instead, they threw him right into the deep end with Silva and he got destroyed.

Wandy is damaged goods right now. seems after his KO at the hands of CroCop we may never see the ultra aggressive Wanderlei that we were used to seeing. a fight with Chuck would be anticlimactic at this point. Chuck is on top of the world and Wandy was just KO'd by Henderson. would it still be a good fight? probably, but it's too easy to say that Chuck would knock Silva out at this point.

I just hope Liddell fights one of those 3 after the Rampage fight...they would all be great fights.
