There was a contract. Tito asked for it. He just got gready. White in my opinion could have ended Tito's career if we wanted to but allowed him back in the UFC in a win win situation for Tito and White. Tito has chosen the way he wants to live by his actions. No need to blame White for it.

He insisted on it as a condition of re-signing with the UFC. Dana gave him what he wanted. Tito asked for the fight, they agreed on a date, and Dana trained for it and squared everything away with the commission. If Jacob doesn't care where the money's going, then why does he need a contract?

He's also tried playing the card that preparing for the fight meant disrupting his training and potentially complicating his scheduled fights and appearances. That would imply that he didn't anticipate having ANY fights or appearances scheduled when he initially asked for the fight?

Jacob has made a bunch of noise about how everyone was going to get paid in this deal except him. I'd like to see proof of that. If he's got numbers, or if there's any source anywhere that shows that Dana and the UFC planned to make any money off this, I want to see it. Because all I've ever heard is that any money made (which would have come only from Spike buying the show to broadcast) was going to charity. And yet, Jacob wanted to get paid.

He asked for the fight, he got the fight, and he backed out at the 11th hour. Dana isn't disrespecting "all fighters" -- don't make me laugh. He's disrespecting Jacob, because the kid hasn't changed a bit.
I agree 100% with everything you said. I like Tito..errr Jacob...he's a great fighter but he's getting pretty whiney!

BUT SURVIVE?

HHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHA
Not sure what you're implying, Krav (as usual), but if you look back at his post he's saying the UFC can live without Tito. Which we've seen, because they did fine without him in the year he sat on his duff talking about all the big things he was involved in (not much of which ever materialized -- remember his five fight contract with Pride? Exactly).

Sorry I know fighter bashing is not allowed but Ortiz is a jack ass.
Come on. The only thing he said he wanted was to fight him. He said he only wanted to fight Dana to let some bad blood out. Not to make any money. Was Ortiz not the stupid guy telling every one it was going to happen and was Dana the guy who just wanted to do it in a basement some where. Seems like the only one who wanted money was jug head. Not to mention Dana had to do so much more then Ortiz training setting up ufc fights. geting a boxing license all the testes.
Why was Ortiz scared of getting hert? was her scared of the old man he was going to crush in the first round?

Over all Ortiz is a jack ass and just did not want the chance of looking stupid.

In the show Dana says Tito called him and said he was doing him a favor by not doing it. Maybe Tito was doing Dana a favor by not doing it, whether he meant it as a favor or not. I mean, think about it, you got business man Dana who hasn't boxed in days and he has a beef with one of the best fighters in the world, going in there and getting his ass whooped would not make him look very good both to the fans and for business.

Naw, I disagree. Dana had nothing to lose. If he went in there and got thumped, people would just give him credit for having the stones to try. If he won, people would be patting him on the back for years and making fun of Tito. Tito, on the other hand, was screwed either way. If he beat Dana, big deal -- he beat a non-fighter who's older than him and drives a desk for a living. If Tito lost, he'd be a total laughing stock. I think that's the real reason he backed out (especially since he claims he doesn't care who's getting the money) -- he just should have thought of it back when he first demanded the fight.

Just going on the facts here, but it seems to me that everytime Jacob doesn't want to fight he has a "contract issue" with Dana
