Default Being a UFC Star's stepping stone has gotta suck!!

You know the UFC picks you to fight because they think you are a loser and then you prove them right by losing.

Losing has to be bad enough but when you know you were picked to lose and then you do, that has to be so much worse. I would think it would make you want to quit fighting or at least go fight for BODOG

I thinks its awesome because it just gives the "stepping stones" the chance to prove everyone wrong. A prime example was Jason Macdonald.

Joe Lauzon.

A lot of fighters use it for motivation, they like to be the underdog. Or so they say.

Underdogs = less mental presure which really means you can fight and not worry so much about all the other bull****t. To even get a offer from the UFC would be a thrill and to be picked to loss means you must be fighting someone decent in skills, so you can test yourself and get on television and let your name be heard .
