Dont like the comment , but i have some sort of mental block when it comes to Rashad. I really hope Tito gives him a beating.

Former UFC champion Tito Ortiz will face The Ultimate Fighter 2 light heavyweight winner Rashad Evans at a UFC 73 event on July 7.
Although a recent skirmish between the two fighters at UFC 69 heated up the rivalry, Ortiz just throw a bucket of fuel on the fire with a recent forum posting about his opponent.
In a thread titled “UFC first woman fighter!!!!!!!!!!!” at The Underground Forum, Ortiz stated:
Rashad Evans!!! He will be my Nappy Headed Ho. On 7-7-07…Let The Punishment Begin!!! Tito Ortiz .::Punishment Athletics::.
That term should ring a bell. Don Imus was fired from his national morning radio and TV gig earlier this month when he referred to the women of Rutgers University’s basketball team as “nappy-headed hos.” The team had just won the NCAA women’s basketball championship, and Imus created a firestorm for using a term that’s been criticized as both racist and sexist.
In this case, though, it’s merely a parody, but it’s sure to warrant a response. Both Ortiz and Evans seem to enjoy playing head games before a fight, and with what appears to be a real and bitter rivalry between to the two fighters, this feud has more than two months to simmer and boil over.
The light-heavyweight fight is expected to take place in Sacramento, Calif. The UFC 73 event is also expected to feature title fights of middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Nate Marquardt, and Sean Sherk vs. Hermes Franca.

lol I think it is funny. That being said I really don't like Ortiz to much and think that Rashad is a much better sport.

i cant wait for rashad to thump the **** outta jacob. the problem is, no matter what happens, jacob will still be jacob, and there is no way to shut him up. aside from krav, he is the only person left on the planet believing his hype (sorry krav, still love ya though!!).

Yeah I agree. It has to be all or none when it comes to racists statements. Either it is ok for everyone to say things or ok for no one.

Tito is finished he will never come close to being champion again, there are far too many better fighters than him, he only dominated from 2000-2004 as he didn't fight any decent fighters in the UFC at that time then he fought Randy, then Chuck.....enough said. He talks a good game but Rashad will destroy him.

Tito is one of the only guys in resent History to get into the 3rd round with Chuck. Yeah he lost but he did better then most do. Tell me a guy right now (excluding Rampage) in the LHW divison that could do that? To think this guy is done is crazy talk.

Tito is bad for MMA, belongs in the WWE. Everyone in his entourage sucks too, his training partner, his girlfriend, they all suck....pun intended.

Yea I agree. Guy Mezger, Wanderlei Silva, Wladamir Matyoushinko, Evan Tanner and Yuki Kondo suck ass. I mean could any of these guys ever win a championship like Rashad. Man Rashad is such a beast he' been in the cage with and has won a split decision over people like Sam Hoger and Brad Imes. He's even completely dominated Stephan Bonnar who almost won "The Ultimate Fighter I"

I gathered that but dont be fooled; Rashad's style would create match-up problems for alot of LHWs today. He can tango w/ the best of them on the ground and he has really quick hands and showed he has a nice kick to the head as well. I believe it would be interesting to see if he could take Chuck down; I personally dont think he could so he would be doomed on his feet aganist Chuck and get knocked out like everyone else.

After the initial shock wears off about a comment like that, it seems to become legitimate social foder. I think it's actually used in the sense that it's more making fun of Imus and the hype around the comment. But do I agree with what Jacob said? no (btw thanks for clearing that up i was like who is tito?)

to avoid confusion neither am i;
ortiz is one dimentional. his standup is pretty laughable and just covers with this forarms way too often. yes yes, he made it to the third round with chuck, but how many times did chuck back off when he could have really gone forward and finished before? i remember at leeaaast 2. chuck was giving the fans a longer show since it was the biggest mma ppv in history, not becuase otriz was any threat.
now in the past, when ortiz fought better wrestler who he couldn't dominate standing up what happened?
(answer, look at my avatar)

I don't get this "he lasted longer than most"-argument.
Tito might have a hard head so it's harder to finish him.
Doesn't mean he was anywhere close to winning that fight. He almost got finished in the first round anyway.
Jeremy Horn lasted into the 4th round with Chuck. Does that mean he's a top LHW? No. He's not even a top MW.
Tito is not a can or anything. I just don't think he's top 10 at LHW.
And is he ready to make a career as a gatekeeper? I don't think he is. He wants to be THE star and his skills aren't enough for that,if you ask me.

Tell Jacob that Rashad isn't some 40 year old man ( however Jacob has lost to one of those hasn't he)
