Read what I said again. Griffin was punching Tito's arms. Those don't count. And the power behind a punch definitely does count. This isn't Olympic boxing, where the number of taps determines the winner.

Anyway, it's not as though this is up for debate. Tito won, Griffin lost, get over it.

Yeah it was just the take down; Tito didnt hurt Forrest w/ anything either w/ the exception of the 1st round. Forrest won the the stand-up in the last 2 rounds and got taken down in the 3rd which is why Tito got the decision. If he had not gotten that take down he would have lost. Tito is one of those guys that when he cant got toe to toe w/ a guy he takes them down, that way even if he is unable to do any damage atleast he is on top which wins you a decision in the UFC.

I saw polls on here and on MMA Weekly, and the majority of knowlegeable fans agreed with the judges, Tito won.

You say that as though it's a fact. I disagree that Griffin won the boxing in the third round. But you seem to think you know what the judges were thinking. Why is that?

Yeah, I hate it. But, Tito has the win over Forrest and Gonzaga beat Mirko and Hughes beat Penn and Serra beat GSP. The record books show it that way. But, Forrest Griffin did put up a good second and third round effort. He gets points for heart. But, he did lose. No matter what we say. That match might well have been a draw. Some could argue for and against that. The UFC does not seem to allow a draw anymore.

Well the comentators seemed to think that the last take down is what won it for Tito; no one knows what the judges were thinking except for the judges. I really could care less who won that match b/c I dont like either one; that is just how I saw it.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to insult you. By "knowledgeable fans" I just mean people who frequent the MMA Forums, as opposed to casual fans who don't know much about the sport. Some knowledgeable fans think Griffin should have won, but they're in the minority (according to the polls I saw).

Usually judges take fighter that punch in the face and takedown opponents. Not fighters that bob their heads around talking **** punching people in the arms. With that said I like Forrest better.

It was just a little sarcastic remark played off of GSP after Hughes vs. Penn 2. No disrespect meant.

I really wish they would have a Tito/Forrest 2 so that we don't have to listen to all this Forrest beat Tito BS. I'm not sure we'll ever see it though, I mean what does Tito have to prove, if he finishs Forrest in a 2nd fight its not like anyone is going to give him any respect for it...

I don't know about that. I think Tito might like a rematch with Griffin. He'll be looking for a comeback fight after Rashad gives him the beating he so richly deserves.
