Cool UFC season 2>. thoughts after the premiere

Who else thinks this new group of guys on season two are complete wusses compared to last seasons guys?!?! I mean come on, a flippen heavyweight didnt even make it past the second day ! Then we have a guy quit when he was only 5lbs away from making weight for his fight?!?! Highly disappointed so far.

Not a dissapointment at all, it was expected that at least a few guys would quit or leave.Still plenty left and a heavyweight replacement will arrive next episode i think.

Also just because 2-3 guys could not take it and quit, does not mean the rest are that way.

Yeah, don't base the whole group on two wusses who didn't come to win it.

Yeah, those guys were a dissapointment but the other guys look good. No Kenny Florians or Jason Thackers this season.

Jorge all the way!

Hey i have respect for anyone in the sport. Takes guts! So I hope I didnt come off as not respecting the other guys in the show. Just stating how disappointed i was in the two that quit. The guy ( sorry dont remember names yet ) that quit because he "couldn't handle the camera's being around" infuriated me, mainly because of how bad i felt for the heavyweight who was eliminated because of his knee injury.

i agree with you on that point. you have to feel really bad for the guy when his 'good' knee blows out during evaluations and two guys who are healthy quit and walk away.

over all i am still stoked on the show and i think it will just get better as the season goes on. once they weed out the guys who dont want to be there and get to randy and fights it will be awsome.

I was pumped about possibly seeing a fight on the first show. But that didn't happen obviously.

I'm not even a fighter, and it made me mad to see two guys just walk away like that. But they did have to eliminate the two weakest anyway, so that took care of that. And hopefully the new HW will be good to go.

By the way, I'm pretty high on the two trainers. They are two of my favorites, that's for sure. I know I'll take some heat for this, but it's nice to see a couple guys that don't have to throw the "F" word around every other word like Chuck and Dana White. White still got his fair share of them in though...

Rich Franklin was about as mad as he could possibly be when that guy didn't cut 5 more lbs.

Anyway, the season should be good, and I hope to see a very good HW stand out..

yeah, that was about as mad a franklin ever gets and matt hughes looked really pissed in the background when they made the announcement about that welter quitting on cutting weight. (i cant remember names yet)

i think the coaches are awsome and the rest of the show should be real good.

Wow, two quitters- Both were scared of the challenges of having to fight some real competition.

The one guy who hurt his good knee, he had 1 bad knee, he shouldn't have been on the show. If he had to walk around after training with a big brace on his bad knee that stayed good during the show, he shouldn't have been anywhere NEAR the show. Just because this day he didn't hurt it, but it would have been hurt soon in another show. Don't they screen these kids for big injuries... I have seen tons of knee injuries, and the way he was walking to begin with was kinda funny. He musta had a bad problem with it in the past.
I am really glad they are bringing in another heavy weight tho.

As for picks, I have a few random picks from just reading bios and seeing their personality from the first show, they will probably lose in the next shows coming up tho so I won't say who haha....

That's fine you think that way about me, but it's still nice to see some good role models in the sport.

I didn't say Chuck and Dana were awful people anywhere in my post. I just said it was nice to see some guys who don't have to talk as dirty to get their point across. Last time I checked, Franklin and Hughes are having just as much success as anyone in the UFC. I'm a Christian guy, but the competition really excites me. It's not a sin to get in the octagon, these guys are earning wages and making a living. That's a big difference when it's their job.

So think what you want about me, I've had to deal with people like you on many occasions.

Now just do that 4 more times, and I won't have to see it anymore.

I liked the first episode and agree with everyone else. It's awesome to see matt hughes as a coach, he is a monster. The "camera" guy was completely useless. The guy who couldn't cut 5 more lbs. had no heart. I know its hard to cut weight, especially that quick (and 20lbs to boot), but if you want it, then you will do what you have to, and the other guys took their free time to help him out. I feel as though he didnt want it bad enough.

Yea, at least they weeded out the p-----. I felt bad for the guy who tore his knee. Thats got to suck, cause he seemed like he really wanted it.
