TUF 5: Episode 5
Again, from theultimatefighter.tv website:
"Team Pulver has racked up four wins in a row against Team Penn. Still struggling with his weight, Gabe Ruediger is the likely target for Team Pulver's winning machine."
Hmmm, I'm going to pick Corey against Gabe I think just because I'm not sure a) if Gabe will make weight and b) if Gabe does make weight, will he be drained? Corey looks dedicated and good in training so I'll be very interested to see him fight tonight.

From the commercial it looks like the only way Gabe will make it to the octagon is in a wheel chair. Drained would be a understatement.

If it is Corey v. Gabe, I gotta go with Corey, even if Gabe makes weight. Will Team Penn win a fight? I know Team Pulver has had the advantage of picking the fights, but Team Penn has really only had one fight that was even close (Emerson v. Diaz).

This fight could go either way because of the weight cutting Gabe has to do. But there's no way Penn's team will get shut out. Penn still has his best guys, and Pulver is getting to his weak links.

yeah I think IF Gabe makes weight, he will be so drained that this won't be as good a fight as it should be and Corey will win easily. I think Penn might only get Lauzon And "Handsome" Matt Wiman through to the quarters.

Add Maynard to that list he will beat any of the weaker three that Pulver has.

Thats kinda what I thought I just hope to see a fight tonight. I think the tuff series has learned not to show an episode without a fight though.

Especially with the ratings not doing as well as before... I hope they won't do that again.

I dissagree with you. It takes much more in the UFC then being hungry. I see Cory being a problem when it comes to stand-up but other then that I feel we'll all see his faults when it comes to the ground.

I see Corey winning tonite, but I don't think Maynard, Lauzon, or Wiman are going down to any of pulvers remaining fighters, especially weems or sims.

I think Corey wins this one rather easily, and if he doesn't, I'm fully prepared to eat my crow.

These polls are retarded. At least spell the guy's name right.
EDIT: So i've been trying to cut Gabe some slack. People make some stupid decisions when cameras are around. But my God, it might as well be the Real World because he has no interest in fighting. He's way too busy showing off his acting skills. I'm not buying any of his crap. It's an act, all of it.

Im sorry but Penn needs to stop laughing at his fighters. He came in to coach not to laugh or diss-respect them. It's not showing good coaching at all on his part at all.

That's disgraceful. I way almost 200, but if I was told I made the 155 show I'd show up at 170-175 tops and be prepared to drop weight. He showed up fat, out of shape, and not ready to make weight when the time came. Horrible. Just horrible.

Damn. No fight. Booooo lol. Oh well, two fights next week. Is anyone really that surprised ruediger didn't make weight? I mean come on he came in like at like 179? are you kidding me? good riddance to a bad fighter. Looks like some good fights next week though. I predict lauzon over geraghty, the guys a monster. As for Hill over Emerson, could go either way imo.
