Nate Diaz/Joe Lauzon
In my opinion, these two fighters are the best in this season. I wonder what all your opinions are if these two squared off.
Lauzon is nothing short of amazing. He came out of nowhere, he's a monster, looks all nerdy, but can jack you up wrestling, standing, and now we see he's got at least rudimentary submission skills.
If he and Nate square off which I think is plausible, who takes it? Nate is also a monster, has superb boxing ability, a BJJ minded freak on the ground.
Would it be pure BJJ/Boxer in Diaz vs. pure Wrestling/Boxer in Lauzon?
If that fight goes to a decision, I'll call it now, Lauzon. Cause DIaz's don't get decisions in The UFC

Agreed 100%. BUT I havent see Wiman or Maynard fight yet. They may be possible threats. I dont think Weems or Sims will win.

That had better not be a spoiler.

I think that's an accurate prediction and wouldnt at all be far fetched if it does happen that way. Which I think it will.
I think Lauzon/Diaz though is gonna be an insane fight.

This is one of those love hate fights for me. If this fight happens whoever takes the loss I will feel sorry for. I would love to see this fight in the finals and see something like a Forest/Stephen fight but only better and see both walk away with a contract that would be great for me.

I would hope Dana doesn't waste the Lauzon/Diaz fight in the semi's when it would be so much more anticipated at the final.

People are ignoring Maynard and Wiman in this. They can hang with Lauzon and Diaz, I guarantee it.

I agree. Manny is also a solid threat, although i think the top4 would be too much for him.

I think so too. I expect Manny's wild man attack to falter in the face of someone with superior skills who keeps his cool. Manny will make a mistake and get subbed or knocked out.

I was getting ready to make a thread on the same topic but stumbled across this one.
I feel Lauzon ill jsut keep comming at you but diaz can take it for sure. Luazon has better take downs maybe not as tech. sound as one might like but hey with the 100mph way that lauzon fights it doesn't matter how awesome they look. Will he want to take diaz down though?
Stand-up to be honest i am not sure.
Winner- Joe Lauzon will come out the victor. He will wear Diaz out then mid second take him down and just start pounding on him. Maybe of course thats just a prediction that i made joking around. Not really for sure if that will be my real prediction. Have to see them each fight a couple more times.

Lauzon will take it all home. Hes an absolute beast. C'mon he knocked out Jens Pulver. Diaz vs. Lauzon would be an amazing fight. Joe Lauzon reppin Boston.

I 'll be happy if either Joe Louzon, or Matt Winman, or Nate Diaz wins it. Joe Louzon is a good fighter, but he has a tendency of using up everything he has in the gas tank trying to finish the fight. That could be his downfall when met with someone who is skillful enough to weather the storm the first couple minutes, and come back strong to finish Joe in the last 30 seconds or so of the round, when Joe has ran out of fuel and has nothing left to defend with.
btw, has anyone seen the last episode showned a couple days ago from Bodog fight ? there was this female fight match, while trying to scramble for top positioning, a girl on top unintensionally sat down on the down opponent's leg, twisting out the ankle, probaly causing compound fractures. It looks really nasty, her leg was pointing one direction, while her foot was pointing the other, most people in the audience saw that and looked away, she was in excruciating pain. Poor girl, I hope she recovers nicely.

I think there the best fighters on the show this seizon, so i absolutly agreed with everyone, also i think i would be a waste to spoil such talent at a semi final.
