Default Noah vs Marlon at finale

MMA WEEKLY - Your #1 Source for Daily MMA News, Interviews, Multimedia, and More

On last week’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter 5, Noah Thomas and Marlon Sims were expelled from the series for squaring off in the backyard of The Ultimate Fighter house. They are the first two fighters in the series’ history booted by UFC President Dana White for such an infraction.

They’re gone, but not forgotten. Spike TV released a statement announcing that Thomas and Sims are scheduled to return, on the series finale no less. The two will be the opening bout of the June 23rd live telecast set to feature coaches Jens Pulver and BJ Penn facing each other in the main event.

Thomas and Sims are the first competitors from the series to be announced for the finale.

The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale
Saturday, June 23 on Spike TV

Main Event:
Jens Pulver vs. BJ Penn

Noah Thomas vs. Marlon Sims

Is there anyone out there that did not see this coming? I'm going with Gooner, a kneebar by Noah would be wonderful.

Honestly I was looking forward to never seeing these two guys again and I'm NOT excited for this fight. They pull some of the dumbest crap in the show's history and now they're virtually rewarded for it? What, are they gonna bring back Monstah to ref it, too?

Maybe Dana's seeing dollar signs.

Dana White is becoming more and more like Vince McMahon everytime I see him. His credibility is dropping in my eyes and frankly, I find it hard to believe anything he says.

What's next Dana? You and Tito eventually having your boxing match as a "Loser shaves his head match"? I guess Dana would have to shave his ....., if he has any!

In a related story, the Gabe Ruediger weightloss challenge has been announced for the same event.

I know, this is kinda messed. I actually really started to like Dana when he kicked them out and was saying that there was no room for street fights in MMA, it was the image they were trying to get away from etc.

Anyways I want Noah to win, really do not like Sims.

I merged the 3 threads on this together.

Back on topic, this fight is NOT going to happen. According to Dana White...
Quote:
"They're not fighting on the finale," said UFC President Dana White. "Not only are they not fighting in the finale, they'll never fight in the UFC. Spike wanted that fight. It ain't gonna happen. No (expletive) way is that fight going to happen. Those guys will never fight in the UFC - ever."
The press release about this fight was supposedly from SpikeTV, not the UFC. Its is very fishy that White didn't know about it before it was released. But the relationship between SpikeTV and the UFC is starting to weaken, that's for sure. First the opposing views on whether UFC 72 was to be televised, now this.

Wow.

That's kinda harsh.
Never in the UFC - ever.

Oh well, I'm not sure they would have made it into the UFC the "traditional" way.
I would have liked seeing Sims lose again, but not gonna miss him really.

A title change might be a good idea for this thread.
