Sims vs thomas not to be in the Finale

Dana White The Ultimate Fighter 5‘s Noah Thomas and Marlon Sims — cast members who earned famed from a backyard brawl and not from their lopsided defeats in the Octagon — will not fight at The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale as the UFC first announced.
That’s the word from the Houston Chronicle‘s Steve Sievert, who recently spoke to UFC president Dana White.
Sims and Thomas both lost their preliminary fights on the television series. However, the show’s producers decided to let eliminated contestants remain in the house, and the two fighters eventually brawled in the season’s eighth episode. The fight included cheap shots from both fighters, and Sims even dropped Thomas — twice — on pavement in an attempt to break free from an armbar. White quickly kicked Sims and Thomas — and ring leader Allen Berube — off the show.
The episode was tough to watch, and it did little to further the UFC’s goal of portraying MMA as a legitimate sport. That’s why the UFC’s follow-up press release stating the two fighters would fight in the show’s finale was met with widespread criticism.
White, though, put the blame squarely on Spike TV, which will broadcast the event on June 23. In fact, White said that not only will the two fighters not take part in the finale, they won’t fight in the UFC — ever.
“They’re not fighting on the finale,” said UFC President Dana White. “Not only are they not fighting in the finale, they’ll never fight in the UFC. Spike wanted that fight. It ain’t gonna happen. No (expletive) way is that fight going to happen. Those guys will never fight in the UFC — ever.“
White told Brawl Sports today that the news release issued by Spike on May 29 announcing the fight and the “second chance” granted to the backyard brawlers was “a huge mistake.“
“Mistakes happen. I didn’t find out about it until yesterday. We make mistakes over here … it’s unfortunate.“

Looks like Dana was really pissed off about the fight at the house, this makes the UFC look better, but i kinda feel bad for the guys who got in the fight.
