Agreed. This line-up is very underwhelming. I was very excited when Danzig was first announced in the very beginning, but since then there seems to be a lot of lackluster opponents.
Last season, most of us already knew about Lauzon and Diaz, plus their was some additional "hype" behind some of the others like Wiman, Maynard and Miller. My first impression is that this cast seems to be thrown together more for personality than ability.
And to Mulla's point, if some of the best WW fighters with the most potential to succeed are coming in with 0-0 or 3-3 records, then why the hell didn't the UFC make this a MW TUF where talent is truly needed? Surely there's a better talent pool at 185, if this is the best they can do at 170.

It seems like they are just choosing fighters that are good for TV instead fighters that will be legitimate contenders in the UFC. Danzig should do good but I think he may be a bit small for WW.

I liked it better when they include multiple weight classes on TUF.

Interesting that you should say that. My first thought when they announce Danzig was that he's 6 months too late. That being said, if he doesn't at least make the finals, it will be a HUGE disapointment.
Should he not make the finals, I wonder if he'll still stay to sing his one-hit wonder, "Mother".

Georgieff is a MW champ in a lower affiliate MMA association. Also goes to UW Madison. Hell F-ing yeah for a badger. He's a sick jiu-jitsu practictioner. Though he fought MW and was already pretty thin, idk how he's going to handle the weight cut

Mac Danzig beat John Mahlow, a guy I used to train with. He still lives locally and has started a new gym. John had the most viscious BJJ, but I do not, so take that for what it's worth. Here's Mac's record with my boy's loss, unfortunatley.
