The assistant coaches for Matt Hughes and Matt Serra, who will head two teams on the upcoming sixth season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” were today revealed by Spike TV.
“The Ultimate Fighter 6,” the latest installment of the popular reality series, debuts Sept. 19 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. The season premiere airs on Spike TV following a broadcast of UFC Fight Night 11. Subsequent episodes of the show will airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Team Matt Hughes will feature Robbie Lawler (former UFC fighter and current Icon middleweight champion), Matt Pena (boxing coach) and Marc Fiore (wrestling coach).
Team Matt Serra will include Pete “Drago” Sell (UFC fighter/MMA coach) and Ray Longo (boxing coach).
“The Ultimate Fighter 6” will feature 170-pound fighters, and according to Spike TV, only one official “TUF contract” will be awarded. During the past month, UFCjunkie.com exclusively determined the 17 cast members for “The Ultimate Fighter 6.” They include:

* Daniel Barrera (0-0 UFC)
* Blake Bowman (0-0 MMA)
* Mac Danzig (16-4-1 MMA)
* Paul Georgieff (7-1 MMA)
* Richie Hightower (7-1 MMA)
* John Koloski (8-4 MMA)
* Jon Koppenhaver (4-1 MMA)
* Troy Mandaloniz (2-1 MMA)
* Billy Miles (2-1 MMA)
* Roman Mitichyan (3-1 MMA)
* Dorian Price (6-2 MMA)
* Jared Rollins (4-3 MMA)
* Ben Saunders (4-0-2 MMA)
* Joe Scarola (3-0 MMA)
* George Sotiropoulos (7-2 MMA)
* Tommy Speer (7-1 MMA)

So I guess we'll see Robbie Lawler again.. Maybe that's gonna be his first step back into the octagon.. Do you guys see him competing in UFC in the future?

One guy has had 21 fights already? What has he still got to prove?
Never heard of any of these coaches apart from Drago, that rings a bell.

This should be a good series. I am getting tired of seeing the house destroyed though. Can't they find another angle? The fight at the house in series 5 was good though.

Drago was on TUF 4 as a contestant w/ Matt Serra, must be why he decided to keep him on as an asst coach |

I know Ray Longo from Serra's last fight where he said Longo showed him how to strike more effectively from mid-range without getting to close, which he used to perfection giving St. Pierre those knuckle sandwiches!

That was one of the coolest fights i ever watched... The these guys could drink each others blood... Would love to see a rematch sometime..
