Pretty good read. I enjoy his writing even more because I think I would have the same attitude as him (not about the Bibles) but the laid back attitude. It's interesting that he thought Joey gave his best while Serra who is his coach both on the show and at home thought otherwise.

Danzig seems like a pretty intelligent guy, but it's easy to see how his perspective on the fight would be different than Serra's.

I thought Scarola completely folded in that match. He should have fought harder to get out of the choke, and even after he didn't he should have hung in for a few more seconds. But I think Serra's accusation that he allowed the choke to get out of the fight was a bit over the top.

I agree with Mac about the Bibles. It's fine to do in a camp where that's the way it is and it's known beforehand. But to spring it on a diverse team like that is wrong. If there'd been a Muslim on the team it could have caused a real incident.

I also think Joey folded under the pressure. I don't know if Serra's comments were taking anything away from Danzig - even if he felt that way. Serra seemed focused only on his boy. But Danzig would've won anyway if it went another round, IMO.

I totally agree with Serra. Scarola has way too much experience to not see know what was happening to him. That wasn't even a quick triangle, he slowly worked it on him.

Really Mac D don't seem like a bad guy. He seems normal. Get mad. Spouts off. Realize he said things he shouldn't. Apologies for it. He would be cool to train with. I like the guy. He brutally honest. WarDawg

Btw, if it wasn't for this blog I would have completely missed the fact that he was referring to Cole Miller, not Bowman, with "skinny hick from Alabama".

This blog is another example of how the whole Reality TV thing with TUF just gets out of hand and I think that it's bad for the sport. TUF needs to drop the Reality TV aspect of this show and move on to bigger and better things.

I was upset at Danzig because I liked him before episode five. I am glad that he blogged about it and has restored his own honor. I just wish that he did not get placed in that atmosphere to begin with.

Yeah, I honestly thought that comment was directed at Bowman as well.

Good blog. Nice to hear another side to that whole episode.

As Danzig said, he did what EVERYONE has done at one time or another...said something stupid when they were in a bad mood.
