Default TUF 6 Q&A: One-on-one with episode three eliminated fighter Billy Miles

Episode three of The Ultimate Fighter season six claimed Team Hughes’ Billy Miles, a highly touted wrestler out of California, as its third victim. The stakes were high this week as both teams were out to take a 2-1 lead in the competition. Unfortunately for Coach Matt Hughes and Miles, John Kolosci of Team Serra upset Miles in the first round with a standing guillotine. MMA Madness’ Ryan McKinnell talked to Miles by phone the day after the show aired. Miles was in good spirits as he talked about the TUF house, his future, and his disdain for Joe Scarola.

MMA Madness: Well, first why don’t you tell us how you ended up on the show? Did you get recruited or did you go through the application process?

Miles: No, actually I went to the open casting call in Vegas, and one thing led to another. You know -- [i] passed medical tests, screenings, interviews, all that stuff.

MMA Madness: Ok, Billy. Well, let’s get down to the meat and potatoes, so-to-speak. What did you think about Coach Hughes’ comments after your loss -- saying he didn’t think that you competed or gave it your all?

Miles: Well, if you watched the fight, it looks like I didn’t, ya know? He knew what I could do and I didn’t do

Have to give him some credit, he didn't make any excuses about cutting weight.

Pretty much confirmed what Hughes and most of us thought....he just let nerves get the best of him and choked.

Good guy. Good interview.

Default Miles

That was a good article. He seems like a stand up kinda guy. (No pun int'd.) Fesses up to his weaknesses and such. Hope to see what he can really do. Miles kind of reminds me of that guy who Rashad Evans beat, I think his name was Mike and he trained with Hughes at his camp before the Hughes/Franklin Season. Everybody thought he was the favorite, but he couldn't get past Rashad Evans.
