I wonder if the hubub is about bringing one of Hughes guys back as a replacement for Tommy. I mean is Speers going to be able to fight again so soon? That cut looked pretty darn bad. Don't those take a while to heal up?
You guys with deep cut experience - how long to heal well enough to fight again?

I'm not a fighter, but I can say this is something we've seen before. Go back to season 1 when Forrest Griffin had that cut near his eyebrow, and see how many shows it took him to heal from that. Might give you a good timeline on when he'd be ok to fight again.
