That logic could be applied to anyone. To go a bit extreme... Hitler had friends, so they must be more accurate about his personality than people who only read or see stuff on TV about him, correct?
(Now I'm not by any means comparing Hughes to Hitler. I'm merely providing an over-the-top reference to illustrate the how questionable the 'Punkass' logic is. Unless you actually know 'Punkass', then it's no more reliable than the stuff we see and read about Hughes.)

Like I said, before I trust YOU or any other Internet peeps, I will trust Punkass because he ACTUALLY KNOWS Matt Hughes. You don't know him. I don't know him. And, I have yet to see anybody posting here that has said that they actually know Matt Hughes. So, I disregard your logic or whatever you want to call it. I toss it out as meaningless.

Matt Hughes would have dominated Hitler in the Cage. He would have GnP'd him into a little greasy spot with a Charlie Chaplin mustache.

Yes, but do YOU actually know 'Punkass'? Why is his opinion of Matt Hughes the one to be trusted? There's a number of Hughes' teammates on TUF who say he's unlikeable, so I'd rather go with the numbers than trust a guy who likes to call himself 'Punkass'. And I'm sure that 'Punkass's' "friendship" with Matt Hughes has nothing to do with the fact that Hughes' sponsorship makes loads of money for TapOut.
Bottom line is that I'm sure Matt Hughes has friends. Barry Bonds has friends too. The majority of people who know either one of them see them from a different perspective. I've seen enough of him and read enough about him to make me believe that I wouldn't care for him too much. But hey, I'll admit I'm no "Punkass" when it comes to my credibility.

LOL. He would have smashed him into one of these: Cats That Look Like Hitler!

I think that Matt Hughes made that clear. He's there to coach, not make friends and party down. I would expect them to not like him essentially as friends and pals and such. In some cases, it takes a tough, mean person to be a coach. Where did Serra's nice guy, touchy-feely good nature get him with Joe Scarola? So, I think that it's hard to use the guys on the team as a measure. And, TUF is too manipulated to know for sure what really is happening behind the scenes and how that conflicts or agrees with what we see each week.
I will admit that I do not know Punkass. I watch TapouT and I feel like I do, but I do not. However, the TapouT guys sponsor fighters and they get close to them and they get to know them. Their reality show is interesting. But, it could be manipulation. Maybe the episodes with Matt Hughes being cool with them was just for show. I did not see them milk it for drama. Not even when Hughes and Punkass brawled around the showroom floor of a sports store after an autograph signing. They were just laughing and having fun and palling around like friends. Hughes did not seem like a "dick" at all.

^^ Fair enough. You could be correct, as I've never met him. I'm just giving my instincts based upon what I've seen and heard. Stranger things have happened than someone actually befriending someone they thought they would dislike.
And truth be told... I actually like Barry Bonds, so there's hope for Math too.
