Actually I did change the title, but it only shows up when you click on the thread. Edited thread titles evidently can't be changed in the preview title.

In any event... two more fighters added.

About Dan Simmler:
Quote:
Dan Simmler (0-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), a Serra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu student who was featured by Newsday while trying out for “The Ultimate Fighter 7,” has apparently earned a spot on the show’s cast.

A source close to Simmler recently told MMAjunkie.com (UFC News & Rumors - MMA News - UFC Fighters - UFC Event Recaps and Previews - MMAjunkie.com) that the fighter left for Las Vegas over the weekend. An additional source — an agent who doesn’t rep Simmler — said he was also aware of the selection.

Simmler, a 27-year-old pharmaceutical-sales rep, has been training MMA for more than seven years. That training has included many years at Serra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a Long Island, N.Y., training center that’s operated by UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra. However, after building up his own list of clients, Simmler opened his own gym, Simmler Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in Massachusetts.

According to the Full Contact Fighter database, Simmler has just two amateur MMA fights. He won both of them.

However, Simmler has competed on some of the biggest stages when it comes to BJJ. He’s won the North American Championships four times and medaled at the Pan-American tournament in 2006. He’s won numerous national and regional titles, as well.

Simmler’s ultimate goal, though, was to become a Navy SEAL. However, after years of training, he learned that his partial color blindness made him ineligible for the program, according to a story about Simmler that appeared in Newsday this past summer. The piece chronicled Simmler’s tryout for “The Ultimate Fighter 7.“

This was actually the second season in which Simmler tried out for a spot on the show; he was also a finalist for “The Ultimate Fighter 3.“
About Timothy Credeur:
Quote:
Timothy Credeur is the latest middleweight to be confirmed by ProElite.com (SamCaplan.ProElite.com) as being a part of the current taping of “The Ultimate Fighter 7” in Las Vegas.

Credeur trains out of the Gladiator Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he has served as both a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a mixed martial arts instructor in the past.

One of Credeur’s teammates at the Academy, Kyle Bradley, who also serves as Gladiator’s MMA instructor, will be making his UFC debut this weekend on the UFC 81 undercard against Chris Lytle in a welterweight battle.

A black belt under Rodrigo Medeiros, Credeur is 9-2 in his pro MMA career and has several notable wins, including a first round submission of Lance Everson in April of 2004.

The 30-year old has also suffered some notable losses as well, to the likes of Joey Villasenor and Chael Sonnen. In his second career pro right during King of the Cage 13 in 2002, Credeur tapped in the second round due to strikes from Villasenor. While competing for BodogFIGHT during their Costa Rica tapings in August, 2006, Credeur suffered a TKO against Sonnen at 2:18 of round 1.
If the list is correct, that means there is only one more unknown participant.

This list of TUF'ers is shaping up really nice....I'm getting really pumped about TUF 7, good cast it looks like and 2 goofy coaches.

Yeah, I agree. They should get guys with at least one or two pro-fights for TUF. I mean, by now, TUF is not small time. They should try to get the best that they can without loading up a roster of ringers. They need guys with two-to-ten fights on their record.

Well, it looks like there will eventually be 32 names, not 16. Should be interesting for initial Vbookie betting.

A three more names added, according to mmajunkie.

Reggie Orr
Quote:
King of the Cage fighter Reggie “Iron” Orr (4-5-1), a 24-year-old who first turned pro more than six years ago, has been chosen as a cast member for “The Ultimate Fighter 7.“

After fighting in two smaller promotions, Orr eventually found his way to King of the Cage, one of MMA’s longest-running and most-successful fight promotions. He’s had eight straight fights in the organization with a 3-4-1 record.

Orr, part of the Millennia Fight Team in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., has been training in combat sports for nearly a decade, concentrating in Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He’s specifically been involved with a number of Muay Thai competitions training under Sensei Kru Matthews at Red Sun Martial Arts.
Mike Dolce
Quote:
International Fight League fighter Mike Dolce (3-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has been chosen to compete on “The Ultimate Fighter 7.“

The 31-year-old Dolce began his career with three straight victories — two decisions and a TKO — which included a victory in the IFL. However, the Portland Wolfpack team member soon hit the skids, losing his next four fights for coach Matt Lindland’s squad.

When not fighting, Dolce also serves as the conditioning coach for the Oregon-based Team Quest, where he works with fighters such at Lindland, Dan Henderson, Ed Herman and other UFC notables. Dolce actually once tipped the scales at 280 lbs. before quitting his job as municipal tax assessor in New Jersey to take up fighting. He eventually worked his way all the way down to a 170-lb. welterweight.
Gerald Harris
Quote:
Former International Fight League middleweight Gerald Harris (6-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has been chosen as a cast member for the upcoming seventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter.“

The 28-year-old fighter found his way into MMA after a successful collegiate wrestling career at Cleveland State University. His 118 victories over a four-year career are the most in the school’s history. He went 40-5 his senior year to qualify for the NCAA championships for the third time.

After graduating from CSU, Harris taught high school history and coached the school’s wrestling team. He’s also began a second career as a stand-up comedian.

However, after fighting — and excelling — in a small MMA show, he was hooked on the sport. And since turning pro in August 2006, the Oklahoma native has spent time working with MMA notables such as Dan Henderson and Matt Lindland to sharpen his game.

Harris began his career with five straight victories before earning an alternate spot on the IFL’s Portland Wolfpack and later the Iowa Silverbacks. He made his IFL debut in April 2007 and suffered a close but unanimous decision loss to Fabio Leopoldo (he’d earn a “Fight of the Night” bonus for the performance). Harris then suffered a first-round TKO to IFL stand-out Benji Radach in his next fight and was gone from the organization.
Here is the rumored list of TUF 7 participants thus far:
(in order of most mma victories)

1. Dante Rivera (10-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 33 years old
2. Timothy Credeur (9-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 30 years old

4. Matt Brown (7-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC), age unknown
5. C.B. Dollaway (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 24 years old
6. Steve Byrnes (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), 28 years old
7. Mike Marrello (6-1-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 29 years old
8. Jesse Taylor (6-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 24 years old
9. Gerald Harris (6-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 28 years old
10. Paul Bradley (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 24 years old
11. Buddy Dave Roberts (5-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC), 28 years old
12. Dave Mewborn (4-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), age unknown
13. Chris Clements (4-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), 32 years old

22. Josh Hall - little is known about this fighter at this point. Three Josh Halls are listed on Sherdog (2-0, 1-0 and 1-2). age also unknown

Potentially 10 more to be revealed.

With the last three fighters revealed having losing records, I'm beggining to sense that the names we're hearing now may be the fighters who lose their opening fight.
