Previews say 'best fight of the series...'
I'm excited. I think it's definitely going to 3 rounds. How about you guys?
If it's as good as they are hyping it up to be, then it should more then make up for the Emo Noah debacle.

TUF - Season 3 - Episode 7
I predict Noah will come back. I just have this feeling. If not I don't know which of Soloman and Jesse I liked more... prob Soloman cuz he was funnier perhaps. Hopefully this episode makes up for the last! Give us 2 fights lol.

Hey, I said Noah might come back -- like this was all a joke.
I just don't like any of the fighters that were beat.
I don't want anyone to return LOL

I know what you mean. I don't think Kristian was a great fighter (can't remember which weight class he was). I just see Jesse as immature and Solomon as funny and immature. I think Jesse has more fighting potential than Solomon however.

i knew it was gonna be Jessie!
And that WAS a great fight! Wow. Stupid decision though, that DEFINITELY should've gone to a third round that was so even and definitely the best fight so far.
Next week it's Danny and Ed. I don't think Danny will be able to pull it off, but lets see if Ed is too cocky for his own good and loses the match.

Who else thought that fight should have went another round? Tate should have went for the takedown and he could have won without the judges. It appeared he wanted to stand and trade. Neither one impressed me but I thought Tate had won. I think Ed will take the next one.

Jesse Comes back because he got beat by Noah... He will just get sent home agin. And what u guys think about the fight. I realy couldent call it but If I had to stop it then and not have a 3rd. I would have had to say Josh lost. Was just to close.

As I just said, yeah that definitely should've gone to a third round and not been a 2 round decision. It was just too close to call at that point.
As an aside, this brings further proof to the fact that the judging should be redone and approached in a totally new way. These people don't know how to score a fight. If anything, i think it should be people who know the sport and are very involved with it, maybe even fighters or trainers who aren't on the card for that particular fight. This 'committie' of old people aren't making the right decisions and it just brings down the sport.

I think the fight really showed the inexperience of both men. Have you guys read the recent article on Sherdog about the most disappointing fighters in MMA? It was basically about how these guys with amazing skills and tons of potential haven't been able to maintain any momentum in their careers. The part about Kevin Randleman quoted Coleman (I think), saying that Randleman beats himself because he gets caught up in the heat and emotion of the fight and he completely loses his game plan. He starts swinging for the fences when he could easily dominate his man on the ground.
That was Tait's problem tonight. If he would have stopped trying to strike with Josh and spent more time trying to get him to the mat, he would have finished him. Look at the way he schooled him whenever it was down there! But even then, Tait kept trying to strike when it wasn't the best course of action. He had a great opportunity for an armbar or a triangle choke earlier in the fight, and he basically pushed Josh out of it by elbowing him in the head, when he should have just gone for the submission.

Oh. And by the way, next week? Never mind training or actually trying to win a fight, let's spend the night at the bowling alley eating cake and singing happy birthday to f**king KEN SHAMROCK! Does Ken have kids? Cause I bet they're more embarrassed by this season of TUF every week.

Once again, it should've gone to an overtime round. I had it scored 10-9, 10-10, for the two rounds, with Josh winning, but it was close enough that they should've done one more round. I thought Josh definetly took round one, and that round two was close, but in Josh's favor, until Tate locked in the triangle choke. I thought that made the round a dead even stalemate. Tate had several submission attempts and all, but until the triangle Josh handled everything well and was scoring with strikes of his own. Still, it was very close and should've gone to the third round. By far the best episode yet. I think it was the first episode when everyone acted mature. And it finished with a great fight. Oh, one more thing, I think Dana bringing back Jesse was very appropriate too. It's a team thing, and when one person screws up all should be punished and that's what it was...punishment...no pun intended.

I thought the fight was really ugly at the beginning. I liked how tito described it as two cartoon characters where all you see is a cloud of fists flying. It did shape up to be a good fight though but I was really disappointed that there wasnt a third round.
Anyways, looking forward to next week

It was better then the fight from last week at least.(JOKE) They both fought hard, and they both looked like they where in great shape. Tate didn't do all that bad on his feet. He smacked Josh a few good ones. I think two of his mystakes were jumping to guard to soon. He did it in the start of the fight and toward the end. I think thats what killed him on the cards. But, then again, I have no Idea how these guys detemine who wins on the cards. They gotta sit down and figure away to consitintley score these fights. I agreed that it should have went to a 3rd round. Way to close to say eitheir fighter won. I think that is the UFC's only down fall is the scoring of their fights. IMO

Dana:"Best fight Of TUF3"? And is there ever an "extra round?" 5/18/06
Bahh! First off, Josh Vs taite, best fight of TUF3? I think not...
Fights like this consisting of two sloth creatures rolling against eachother, is one good reason why i think 2 rounds per fight on TUF3 is not a bad idea. When it comes to SLOOOOW fights like this, 2 Oh-So-Boring rounds is plenty enough torture on the viewers, as well as the coaches who thought they could do better.
On the flipside however, this still was one of those fights like it seemed there would definitly be a extra/sudden victory round, but their wase'nt. In fact i've never seen it in the previous TUFs or any other fights. I guess my question is: Has there ever been any cases where they actually did let it go another round after the 3/5-round fight was up? Must be damned Rare. Anyone know?
Edit: And i think Tito Ortiz needs to seriously work with Josh on his cardio. Its no suprise with taite due to shammy's "Training", but i was suprised Josh ran out of Gas so quickly.

Hell yeah Josh won! Score another round for the good guys!
And Tate AKA: Tatto boy, goes home and i hope the door hits him in the ass on his way out. Dude was a prick and a jerk. His cardio/gastank died so early in the fight too.
Isn't this guy Joe Roegan's bodyguard or something? Yeah imagine him trying to "fight" off some crazy fan, Tate will struggel with the guy for 45 seconds and then fall asleep leaving roegan undefended. I say fire his ass!

That was definitly NOT the best fight of the series as a whole, much less TUF3 itself.
Actually for slow, boring fights like this between two guys with **** cardio and no gas in the tank: having only 2-rounds is an act of mercy on the viewers and their coaches.

It kills me how some people can be so opinionated and totally bash on someone after watching a few episodes of a reality show. Not to mention that the shows are cut and edited to pieces. And I'm sure that getting hit in the head and body several times has totally nothing to do with a person getting tired. Hell, after all, they've been training hard core now for what....2 maybe 3 weeks straight and not having to worry about holding down a job or paying bills, right? Nothing like, say for instance, before they were on the show. No excuse I say, none at all that these guys aren't in tip-top shape cardiovascularly. Tate should have been albe to go on a 5 mile run at a 7 minute mile pace and jump right into the octagon and just go to town, right?
Sorry if this seemed a bit sarcastic ... no, I take that back, I'm not.
