Kendall on Inked
So I rented a DVD of the best 8 episodes from the show Inked (tattoo shop in a vegas casino).
One episode was about one of the dudes as the shop Eric Pele (or "Big E") being a MMA fighter, fighting in Superheavyweight devision of King of the Cage.
They showed him warming up in the cage before the match and outside leaning on the cage and watching him was Kendal.
It's odd how faces of nobodies in the backround can suddenly be people (that sounds odd)
But it's the same thing with UFC DVDs they'll show a dude warming up and then his buddy will talk to the camera for a minute and the first time you see it the guy is just noone, then you go back a year later and it's Joe Stevenson.
I'm sorry if this thread was pointless.

I remember that episode but don't remember Kendal I'll have to look for it. I just had some ink done there myself, I don't think Big E is there anymore. Watch some of Franklin's older matches and you'll see Jurgel.

It is funny you mentioned that because I am not 100% but I was sure I saw Rory in the background (one of the corner men for Rich I think) when Rich beat Shamrock on TTUF season 1 finale. It could have been a look a like but I thought it was him.

I know Rory's cornered Forrest Griffin before. Rory taught Forrest everything he knew about BJJ pre-TUF, and they were roommates for a long time.
Interesting sidenote about Kendall. Phil Baroni posted to the Sherdog forums a long time ago, responding to some criticism. In a long post, he was talking about how he was no longer training at Mark Laimon's gym in Vegas because Mark wanted Phil to pay more money than the other guys and wanted a cut of his winnings in return for training him, despite the fact that Phil was on a losing streak at that point and kind of down on his luck (you've seen his car).
Anyway, towards the end, he said something like, "I'll let you in on a little secret about Mark Laimon's guys -- they never win. It's like a curse." I'm paraphrasing here, but it was something like that. Anyway, he rattled off five or six names of guys who were presently training under Mark and representing his gym, and one of the names was Kendall Grove. Way before TUF3, and at the time, I was like, "who?"

Along the liens of this topic, I was watching Randy vs Chuck 2 and in it are contestants from all 3 TUFs.
Forrest, Stephan and Ken are shown signing autographs, Joe Stevenson is interviewed during Mayhem's warm up and Ed is shown walking in the building with Randy

Didn't Tait also show up at that PPV? I seem to recall that he was actually interviewed... Maybe it was a later PPV, but I thought it was that one with Liddell-Couture 3.

It wouldn't have been Liddell-Couture 3 because that aired during the taping of TUF3 and he would have been in the house while the fight was going on.

Okay, I'm having a brain fart then. It must have been UFC 58, 59, or 60. I did not pay particular attention because it was one of the between match "we need to waste time" parts of the PPV. They interviewed Tait and asked him about TUF3. Of course, he did not say much really because TUF3 had not aired yet...

Yeah, you're right. I vaguely recall because it was between matches. And, there have been a lot of UFC events this year. I tend to gloss over the between the match stuff because they like to focus on Paris Hilton looking like she just got snubbed by Chuck Liddell or showing Cindy Crawford show off here pumped up pouty lips or some celebrity mug for the cameras. It can be interesting sometimes, but I buy a PPV for the matches.

I don't remember seeing Kendel, but good catch tho. I'll have to watch for that next time that one comes on.
