Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale: June 24
Here is the rumoured card from mmaweekly:
-Light-Heavyweight Finals of The Ultimate Fighter 3
-Middleweight Finals of The Ultimate Fighter 3
-Kenny Florian vs. Sam Stout
-Keith Jardine vs. Wilson Gouveia
Kenny Florian vs Sam Stout... quite a fight. Could go either way I think.

Not a terrible fight card. I will be rooting for the dean of mean since he got hosed in his fight against Bonnar.

Speaking of the Ultimate Fighter. How weak did that last fight look. I think Bisping takes it now.

I wish they would make a fight card like the Ultimate Fighter 1, where they had al the elimated fighters fight on the undercard. I would rather see it like that then a usual fight night.

I'm not knocking the card they HAVE put together, but I agree that it would be cool to see everyone from the show fight. Put it together based on grudges whenever possible, like with Leben and Strange Brew. Dana White could fight Noah's girlfriend. Tait could fight Shamrock. Saul could fight whoever shanked his basketball (I forget who actually did it).

I think it was Jesse that shanked the Basketball, I remember it happening but can't remember 100%.

Although I'm sure Matt will be much more impressive when he chooses to employ his wrestling, I tend to agree with you there.

Just checked out the UFC site and Rashad Evans is gonna fight Stephan Bonnar. I think Bonnar takes this one easy. Hopin for a KO

I will pick Ken-Flo and Jardine to win their respective matches. Also, I agree that Bonnar should be able to win over Evans. I really hope that Bonnar comes out and dominates Evans.

The King of Spike TV needs to take out Rashad quick to make up for his sloppy fight with Jardine and to take the bad taste out of people's mouths.

I agree with Jardine, but I think Stout will take it to Florian. Florian has a good ground game, but Stout seems to have Chuck's ability to just stand right back up after he's brought down. I see this fight happening mostly on their feet, and Stout's a much better striker than Florian. I sure am looking forward to that one though, even more than the rest of the card.

I agree. I think this fight will be tough for Ken-Flo. I thought that Kenny Florian was an easy mark to beat when Sanchez handled him in what seemed to be an easy match at TUF1 Finale. I did not think that Florian would amount to anything. Then I saw him fight Kit Cope, and I was much more impressed. I liked the way that he handle Cope. But, I think that was Cope's first MMA match. Stout is experienced. He won his last fight and looked good in that fight. You are right, he could beat Ken-Flo with his striking and sprawling.

It wasn't Cope's first MMA match technically. But it was his first when he wasn't doing Muay Thai full time. He will get better.

Ah, that's right. Anyway, I like Kit Cope's attitude. He has mental stamina as well. He did not want to be submitted, and I think he had a broken bone because of that armbar (I forget if they ever reported later that it was broke or not). What I liked was his light hearted behavior with Ken-Flo and that nipple-twister hold he had on Kenny at the weigh-ins photo op. That remains one of the funniest memories in MMA for me. I laughed my butt off when I saw that.

I think Stout wins it. He's an excellent striker, he's fast and he's got a Chuck Liddell like sprawl. I think Kenflo tries to strike with him but few minutes in round realises thats not a good idea. Then tries to take him down but fails badly. Though you never know this fight could wind up just like the Cope-Florian fight, Kenny is a black belt in BJJ so he could end up taking Stout down.
It's rumored that Sean Sherk will take on the winner of the Stout-Florian fight for the vacant UFC LW title.

It would be funny, if Ken-Flo defeats Stout and then Sherk to become the UFC LW champion before Diego Sanchez (the guy that dominated Ken-Flo at the Finale for TUF1) even gets a title shot.

I certainly don't feel that way. He deserves a spot in the UFC as far as I'm concerned. I didn't like the way he slid through to the TUF final, but that wasn't anything to do with Kenny.
I do think you'll get your wish about his nose though, as soon as he comes up against Sam Stout.

i admire that the guy has the balls to fight in the UFC but there is something i just dont like, i hate the philosophy he seems to employ by beating opponents with cuts, i think that is a weak finish, guys like the crow force cuts but at the same time take advantage of KO oppourtunities, i feel florian looks for the elbow to avoid a fight. in my opinion.
i would like to see Leben get a rematch although the weight doesnt seem to suit either fighter. to me a cut against a willing opponent isnt a good fight

Jardine is owed a win. Poor guy. I mean, I don't feel so sorry for him that if he knocked on my door at midnight to use my phone I'd let him; not with that mug.
