Agreed. There are always going to be people who don't appreciate grappling and call "lay and pray" when the action's on the ground.

was entertaining, Shonie must be the Pimp Daddy of Team Dagger, he reminds me of Solomon and I can't wait for him to get KTFO!! But a nice win to start off.

I really think having Serra on the Gray team is a huge advantage to them from a coaching aspect. He is already a very accomplished coach with disciples like Luke Cummo and Pete Sell, who is also on the show. His corner advice and gameplanning were really what won Shonie this fight. While Couture and GSP are there to give alot of advice, they don't have the need to really gameplan as they have no connecton to a particluar team. Serra is already emotionally attached to his team and an excellent asset in the gameplanning.
I remember Rich Clementi from his battle with Yves Edwards back in '03 and something rubbed me wrong about him back then. And the show continued it. I've never been a big Shonie Carter fan, but for some reason I was rooting for him against "No Love". Just a weird attitude on Clementi.

Exact same feeling I had too.. plus he was too arrogant going into the fight, I´m glad he got that smile whiped from his face after the first minute of the 1st round.
Other than that, this TUF seems to be promising to be way better than the last one, for one there is no Trainer hate, which was kinda side tracking the last show and the fighters have alot of experience, which give the show a professional, serious, get down to business appea...except for Shony, expect him to throw a Player´s Ball at the house.

I appreciate the amount of respect these guys are getting as experienced fighters, being allowed to just set up their own schedules and train themselves, etc. It would be weird for the producers to say to GSP "Go over there and teach Matt Serra some jiu-jitsu." He's Matt-freakin'-SERRA!
The internet's full of people saying season 4 is stupid because it's veteran fighters, but I disagree.

I liked the show, I thought the fight should've gone a third round to be honest, I had it at 1 round a piece. Will the losing fighters just be alllowed to stay at the house now??? Like wen Dana was announcing the fighters, he didn't say the loser goes home, he just said the winner moves on to semis???
With Shonie there now tho, It'll be interesting to see what goes on in the house. I'm looking forward to Din Thomas's ww fight wen it happens. My predictions for next weeks fight is...Patrick Cote vs Gideon Ray.

I'm a lot more interested in these experienced guys than in guys I've never heard of, most of whom would never have made the UFC if it weren't for their appearance on TUF. The best fighters from TUF would have ended up in the big show on their own.

That was quite a tactical error, picking Clementi vs. Carter. Now they've lost the ability to choose. I can see why they wanted to call out Carter, he was obviously out of shape, but I wonder why they decided on Clementi to fight him?

Carter didn't just pick this theme, he's had it forever. Pimp in girly shorts LOL! He looked stoned the whole time! I really hate to hear him speak, but like him as a fighter. Look at his record for crying out loud! A hundred pro fights? Anyway, I'm excited to see all these guys. Matt Serra is a great leader and coach. I look for him to make it to the finals for sure.

Fo reals. It might be kinda rad if he and Shonie both got cut, 'cause then they could rematch at the Finale.
Ooo! My name looks awesome! Best 1000p I ever spent.

The only reason he won was because of Matt.. if not for him Shonie would have been gone by first round.
In my opinion he needs to leave that Bull**** pimp act to the cartoon artist on what ever music tv channel he watches.
Best part of the episodes was Randy saying something to Shoie about his cane in the after weigh in picture.

Speaking of girlie shorts, anyone else notice that white tied strap coming out back of shonie's shorts when he was on the ground?
What the hell was he wearing under the fight-shorts? Girlie panties? Ewwwwwwww......
As for his shape/conditioning. Perhaps if Shonie would stop trying so hard to showboat on the show with his "pimp" outfits, and focuse on training instead. He'd have been in much better shape for that match. As it is he was barely holding on there.

I finally got to watch the first episode just now. Why did Rich feel the need to be "cool" during this fight. All her seemed concerned with was smiling back. As far as Shonie goes - what's the big deal with his act? I'm sure you aren't surprised. There is an oddball on every series. Besides, he seemed to put all that away for the fight even saying "yes sir" to his corner.

Oh, and Carter almost always wears a Thai cup, much larger than other athletic cups so it looks real funny, especially with those briefs he wears. I'm pretty sure that was his athletic support strap you saw LOL!

With all the knees, punches and kicks out there, I'd be wearing all the cup protection I could get. Ouch!

It's a classic giveaway, too. Everyone says that when you hit a guy and he smiles at you like it didn't hurt, that's because it hurt.

Yeah and besides it does not matter if it hurt or not, if the fight goes to a decision. Those hits are going to count on the judge's records.

Yeah i like it. Having actual Veteran fighters this time around, instead of rookies, is a fresh original concept for the show.
