2 quits and an injury.... off to a good start.

at least it looks like they are bringing in another heavyweight to replace the injured fighter.

My TiVO didn't record the last 5 minutes of the show.... I only seen one of the heavyweights quit and one leave with an injured knee. Who else quit?

I thought the show was good, even if it did not show a fight. Because we got to see and get to know what the new coaches&fighters are like.

Besides TUF1 did not show any fights in the first few episodes either if i remember correctly. So i was not expecting things in the show to progress that far.

So far so good i say.Next week should be better and we'll probabley see a match.

The last guy, i think his name was kenny, he quit because he had to cut weight and be at 170lbs. He tried to cut the weight but gave out on the last 5lbs and quit, saying stuff like his vision was getting blurry and puking, etc. I don't want to call the guy a wuss as i'm sure cutting weight can be tough, but i dunno it just seemed like he gave up way too easily.Kinda like this season's bobby southworth, franklin and the others tried to help him out and dragg him into the sauna like a baby, etc.

Dana white was nice and did'nt speak his mind till the guy went home, but afterwards when talking to the rest of the fighters, he said the guy clearly "puss'ed out" and was dissapointed.

Rich Franklin was pissed too. That really sucks, especially for guys who didn't get a shot but could have.

I laughed really hard when Kenny was talking **** saying, "If I could have cut the weight, I would have gone through every fighter at 170." Please...

Thanks Grave!

What a shaky start to this season..... Dana has got to be pissed off at the fighters they chose. I'm sure there are hundreds of other fighters that would have loved to have this once in a lifetime opportunity. I hope both of those fighters see an immediate end to their MMA carrers and the beginning to a long career at a dead end job.

Nothing get me more than when the quitters were saying that they could have won it all if not for blah blah blah... what a bunch of losers. If you are gonna quit then suck it up, admit the sport is not for you and give props to the guys who could handle it. For example making weight is part of the sport, most everyone has to do it at some point in their careers... if you cant do it, then that's one very important skill you are lacking. And the guy who quit because of all the cameras... dude this is TUF.. what did u think it would be like? And if you are getting anxious with a few cameras and about 20 people around...what are you gonna do when there's 12000 screaming fans in the arena and another million or so around the world watching your every move??

Although I somewhat sympasize with the guy who just couldnt cut the last five pounds (20 pounds in a day must be tough), because everyone around him said it could be done, I have to question his heart.

All in all.. I say good riddance to them both!

Same thing happened to me, I could have have thrown the thing out the back door. At least the replayed the whole thing last night. They should have made Kenny fight Matt since he "puss'ed out" as Dana White said.

Bobby Southworth was already overweight. He was walkin around at like 235 or 240. Thats a little different than someone being a skinny 190lbs. and cutting 20. Dana White is MMA's version of Don King anyway, so i never put stock in anything he says.

Dana didn't say a thing that wasn't true or warranted given the way that first day and a half went.
