Don't worry. When both the UFC and THQ have announced that the game is in development for all three major systems plus PC and portable, I think we can trust them over FEC4.

MMMM i wonder if that is in game footage i hope it is looking at the most recent wwe games the graphics could well be in-game i dont now if anyone else noticed but there was no ref in the ring does any one think there should be one or not? As for the console it will come out on X 360 and PS3 i reckon i dont think it will just come out on one as there will be more money in it for ufc if it comes out on both plus advertises UFC more aswell.

It's not in-game. That would imply that they've finished the game enough to be able to play it with that much polish to the graphics. What they've done is taken the graphics engine, finished the character models for Chuck and Rampage, and made a pre-rendered video to give people a sense of where the game is headed. And in that, I think they've done a really good job and I'm twice as excited about the game. I'm sure you'll see a ref in the finished product, but that's a long way off.

Theres a ref in the Smackdown vs RAW games so they may add a ref into this game. The ref actually counts people out, etc on the wrestling games but there is less need for a ref on this game considering I dont think you will be able to low blow people so the red would just stand around saying nothing.

I disagree. Big John is an important and popular part of the UFC brand. Just like with the old games, they'll want him in there so players can enjoy having him point at them (I can see it happening in a first-person view, like a cutscene) and say "Are you ready?" and then doing a big "Let's get it on!" He can basically stay out of the way during the fight, other than warnings for cheat moves (which I'm sure they'll include, as most boxing and wrestling games have them), and then to hold your hand up at the end. It wouldn't be the UFC without John.

I just read this(I guess i'm a little behind), but this looks really promising I will be happy as long as it comes out sometime in the future. Looks like I need to start saving up for that PS3.(right now i still have the ps2.)

Since it is called UFC 2009, then I would guess that it will come out sometime in the summer or fall of '08, just like the other sports games do.

I'm sure there will be plenty of fighters to choose from anyway, but the fighters in the game will probably be only the ones under contract wouldn't you think? Not the fighters that only fight like 1 or 2 fights in the UFC.
