COD 4 or GH3
I know most people will go with call of duty but I am a huge guitar hero fan. Everyone says COD 4 is amazing but I havent heard any real reasons why. I am completely stuck between the two. The only con to GH3 is that it costs 100 bucks. I am also thinking replay value. Idk maybe both? Anyone want to sway my opinion?

Id spring for both. Two completely different games so you wont get burned out on one by playing the other too much.

Definitely two different types of games. A little tip, Sam's Club has GH3 w/guitar for $79. Now back to game talk, GH3 is a lot of fun and also something you can drag out if you're entertaining. I haven't done battles yet but I think you can go head to head if you're doing multiplayer at home. There's a great song selection of mainstream and "indy" tunes. I also had to promise the wife I wouldn't buy COD4 or Assassins Creed prior to Dec 25!

I'd say GH3. There are 48 songs plus bonus tracks and 4 different difficulties to play on. They have added a co-op career which you can play online as well as battle modes to challenge other players. The songs are awesome and the replay value is high.
Although I haven't played COD4 yet, I have to say I am extremely sick of FPS and if I want to play a good FPS I will play HL2 or CS. Think of the replay value if you are going to drop the cash, I think that GH3 has a lot more of it.

I have GH3, definitely the best game for entertaning.
I am a glass collector and carli loves cookin munchies, so I have people stopping by continually to smoke out of my glass art ....and so far everyone loves GH3, even more than the Wii!

Personally I cant comment on GH3 because I havent played it but I can comment on COD4.
Story mode is awesome and you wish it would last longer than 5-6hrs but there is a reason to go through the game again on harder difficulty, etc because you need to collect 30 intel reports. When you collect them you get more "cheats" You can slow down time and get infinite ammo, etc.
What makes COD4 great is the online play. Lots of weapons, a fair amount of maps and a lot of match types. There is a ranking system also with everyone rank you unlock new guns / scopes / cammo / match types / etc. I literally played COD4 online for about 5hrs straight before doing the story (I had done the first mission)

My buddy has COD4... I don't want to be a spoiler, but the Ac-130 mission is, quite possibly, the greatest thing ever. Then again, I'm pretty easily entertained
